Okay
-The office is semi difficult to find the first time getting there. -When I have gone in person there has never been anyone at the front desk it is super strange and kind of just gave me an uncomfortable feeling like am I alone with this provider in the building ? -The front desk staff is not ideal I have been constantly told discrepancies, I called once and whoever answered was very short and snippy and told me I couldn't schedule an apmnt until I paid off my copay balance, next time I called the balance was still there and the person said nothing about it and I was able to schedule. Their has been another instance of discrepancy w them as well. -Dr. Somers has always listened to my concerns and provided thorough explanations when needed. -However their was an instance he prescribed a drug I should not have been on due to a diagnosis and I feel he should have known this. -He has helped get me to a stable place on the right meds/dosage though.

unpleasant and awkward
The first experience I had with this Doctor wasn't a good one, and unfortunately, first impressions stick with you. I had a difficult time finding his office , and when I finally did, there wasn't anyone in there at the front desk. The window was closed and there wasn't any signage to direct anyone coming in. Our appointment was at 6:00 pm. The set up is just awkward! I also had to call to make the next appointment because there wasn't any staff there to do it. When I called the office, the staff that answered the phone claimed that I was being disrespectful on the phone. Then he calls me himself saying the same thing that his staff told him I was being rude on the phone. There is a HUGE difference between being RUDE and FRUSTRATED!. I explained to him that I wasn't being rude and I asked him what I said that was rude? He claimed he didn't want to get into a back and forth and he believes his staff. Good for him for sticking up for his staff, but WRONG approach! SAD!

He's a good psychiatrist. I have seen many providers who are not compassionate or empathic, so I appreciate a good one when I see one. He listens and cares about his patients. Highly recommended if you struggle with depression or anxiety , as I do.

The doctor wont listen to anything you say and tries to put words in your mouth to allow him to write prescriptions so that he can get paid more money. He also wont allow patients to leave his care unless they go through his partial program that also allows him to collect more money. Overall he is a drug pusher that only care about himself and his money.
