His staff don't listen and pulls much needed meds
Only dealt with Dr. Gould a couple of times , most of the time I'm with his PA Paige or Lauren. They had me on Injections for my sever migraines and wanted me to try infusions , saying I needed to have the infusion 3x before getting any relief, I have to wait 6 months to see any benefit. It didn't work at all and told them straight out I didn't want the infusions, they pulled the from without warning saying I'm over medicated on other drugs , which they prescribed and I'm not taking what they give me everyday . So I was getting help and the injections lasted 8 or 9 weeks of relief , now I'm getting no relief at all. They don't listen when I say I'm in pain anymore and took something working about 75% of the time to giving me nothing at all. Saying they will not prescribe the injections anymore cause they want the infusions to work

First visit was an excellent experience...........
Dr. Gould and his nurse, Amanda, were both courteous and professional. He explained the condition, as well as the options for treatment, and we proceeded with an injection.

I have seen Dr Gould several times and I feel very torn about the care he provides. He is aggressively trying to solve my mystery pain and is agreeable to doing insurance workarounds, but he also has an ice-cold demeanor and I don't get the sense that he cares about the actual well-being of his patients beyond the mechanical riddles of their bodies. Most recently, I underwent some unpleasant injections. I talked to his staff ahead of time & explained that I had PTSD from medical trauma and would probably be upset during the procedure. When the day came, I was on the table with my pants pulled down, shaking & crying. I reiterated to him that I had a history of trauma, and instead of offering me comfort or reassurance, this man said "You're making this way too complicated." Absolutely horrific. On top of this, the RN who took my vitals rolled her eyes when I asked her to please put on a mask. I generally do not feel safe or cared for at this office and am not sure I will return.

I've been seeing Dr. Gould for a long time and I have never had an issues or problems with him. He listens me to, he's compassionate, personable, he has helped me through a lot of pain with my back and neck. I trust him so much that I've brought my children to see him. I don't know what kind of experience these other people have had. But I just can't imagine Dr. Gould acting like that.

My experience with Gould was very negative. He is not a compassionate person and caused a worsening of my conditions, then he dropped me after they changed my medication and the new med was not working. Although Slocum Dickson is a good outfit, I do not recommend Dr. Gould.

Dr. Gould is professional, knowledgeable and very personable. I've suffered from migraines for most of my life, and have tried everything possible to treat them, with only short-term relief. Since being treated by Dr. Gould over the past 2 years, I can honestly say that I've had a 90% or more reduction in migraines. I'm so thankful for his medical expertise and the care, concern and time he takes with this patients!

Saw Dr Gould when I was suffering from back pain and could not move. Since I had to go on long term disability from my emplopyer - his comments did nothing to help my stress level. I had 4 epidurals and the last one he hit my spinal cord woth the needle. I was provided with a cold pack for my neck and told to go home and rest. The next day I did not feel any better. Called his office and was told, he was not in and was told to go to the ER. Worse doctor I have ever had.

I took my husband to Dr. Gould for a lower back injection. After the injection they released him, basically plopped him in my car and told me the epidural would wear off in 40 minutes. Five hours later it finally wore off, but my husband had already fallen 3 times CRAWLING into our house only using his upper body strength. I actually have a video of him crawling across my kitchen floor, dragging his lower half. Injection gone bad...oh, and HORRIBLE bedside manner!

He listened to every woe I had about my ankle injury and was one of the only two doctors I'd seen out of at least 5 who actually knew something was wrong and didn't think it was all just, in my head. He explained different possibilities and ran me through a bone scan and x rays. Treated me wonderfully for my injections he scheduled to help reduce the chronic pain I feel all the time from a bad ankle injury and nerve damage. Dr. Gould is also just a wonderfully nice person to talk to.

I suggest you pass on this guy; besides the fact we had to wait 1 1/2 hours to see him (and this was for a morning appt), his bedside manner is appalling. He actually told my elderly father that most old people do not recuperate from surgery. I had to stop him in his tracks telling him I did not wish this conversation to continue. I mean really, who asked him?? We were there for pain treatment. I find this most unethical. Seriously, do yourself a favor and find someone else.

Do not go to this doctor. He is unqualified to treat chronic pain. Used inappropriate techniques when giving injections. Prescribed medicine that did not work in the past and refused to prescribe what helps. I've been an RN for ten years and have never observed a doctor with less empathy and such poor clinical techniques. Do yourself a favor and save your time and money by going to a different doctor.

"Dr" Gould did not listen to a single word I said when describing my pain. He refused to provide any treatment and even tried prescribing meds which I had told him I was allergic too. He then recommended treatments that have not been been successful in the past. After this he said I would just have to deal its the pain and told me it was all in my head. My MRI and medical hx disagree. This "dr" does nothing to help legitimate pain patients. He simply brushes them off if he can't handle the case
