I would highly recommend Dr. Patel. I have been seeing her for over 5 years for different pain issues related to my psoriatic arthritis. She is always caring and listens. She is a pain management specialist and not a surgeon. If you are looking to have surgery don't go to her and be disappointed. She will do testing and send you to a surgeon if need be. I cannot tell you the number if injections she has given me and usually pain free. If your joint is highly inflamed it is going to hurt.

Physician was late to my appointment and did not bother reading notes from the patient portal. The appointment felt rushed. She kept duplicating solutions (tests, occupational therapy, exams) that I had already done in the past. This tells me that she did not read any notes prior to seeing me. She ran out of the room and said she'd be right back and never returned.

Run away!!!! Went into this "specialists" clinic for an evaluation. When this physician came into the room she was rude. She rushed the appointment by asking short questions, she would cut me off when I responded. Did not want to hear anything about my injury or previous care. She had not read my chart. She duplicated therapy that my primary care had already begun. She told me there was nothing she could do for me other than steroid injections. Heard her yelling at a patient. Patient beware.

I also had a similar experience as Tom G. I had a cortisone injection procedure by Dr. Nayna Patel less than a month ago, but during the procedure she struck a nerve causing excruciating pain. The radiology technician also told her there was blood present, indicating she had also knicked a blood vessel. At followup, she minimized her responsibility for the severe pain she caused by striking a nerve, and said I didn't hear the radiologist say anything. I definitely won't see her again.

Wanted to do some test injections to see if I was a candidate for radio frequency ablation in my cervical spine to reduce pain. Absolutely the most painful experience of my life. I was positioned on a table in such a way that I couldn't breathe. I only made it a third of the way through before calling the whole thing off. I saw a different doctor for the same thing and his process was virtually pain free. Patel seems like a nice person but I would never see her again.

I really like her, she's companionate & knowledgeable. I have had several cortisone shots with amazing results (until the shot wears off- which is typical).
