"I recently had an appointment with Dr. Neetha Reddy Angelino and was deeply disappointed with the care I received. I scheduled this appointment months in advance due to ongoing symptoms, including hot flashes, night sweats, impaired sleep, brain fog, irritability, and anxiety, which I believe are linked to hormonal imbalances, particularly low estrogen. I also suspected that other hormones might be contributing to my symptoms. Unfortunately, I left the appointment feeling dismissed and gaslighted. When I mentioned my sleep issues, Dr. Angelino interrupted me and stated that hormones cannot affect sleep—a claim that is factually incorrect. There is substantial evidence linking hormonal fluctuations, particularly in estrogen and progesterone, to sleep disturbances. She also repeatedly insisted that my symptoms were “OBGYN issues” and not relevant to endocrinology, which was baffling given that endocrinologists specialize in hormones. I shared that my sister is currently being treated by another endocrinologist for similar issues, but Dr. Angelino insisted that no endocrinologists in her practice deal with these concerns. Despite my repeated mention of hormonal imbalances potentially being at the root of my symptoms, she provided no guidance, no referrals, and no direction for further care. I doubt I am the only patient who has come to her with these issues, and yet she did not make any effort to connect me with someone who could help. When I brought up a previous blood test that showed low testosterone, Dr. Angelino dismissed it, stating that testosterone is not prescribed to women unless they are undergoing a sex change and that it could cause “masculine” traits. This statement is grossly inaccurate. Testosterone plays a critical role in women’s health, including energy levels, mood regulation, bone density, and libido. While it requires careful monitoring, it is widely prescribed to women with deficiencies. She also suggested that my anxiety medication could be causing my hot flashes, even though I clearly explained that my symptoms predated starting the medication. My prescribing provider is fully aware of my symptoms and would not intentionally exacerbate them. Her lack of acknowledgment of my medical history, despite my completing a detailed intake form days prior, left me feeling ignored and disrespected. Finally, she mentioned testing for a “rare hormone” that she didn’t believe was an issue, but at that point, I questioned the value of pursuing any testing with someone who had dismissed my concerns from the start. This experience was frustrating and disheartening. I took time off work, prepared thoroughly, and was met with dismissiveness, inaccurate information, and no actionable plan or support. Patients turn to endocrinologists for expertise in hormonal health, yet I left feeling unsupported and unheard. I do not recommend Dr. Angelino to anyone seeking thorough, evidence-based, and compassionate care for hormonal issues."

Had an appointment and was not seen because I had a digital referral. Staff would not even look at referral on my phone. Very unprofessional.
