First doctor who took the time to explain
I have had atrial fibrillation for over 3 years and she was the first person to sit down and explain it to me. All these years, no one explained what that meant and when I should worry and not worry about. She explained how the blood thinner kept me safe and in general reassured me. I wish more doctors took time to explain our diseases to us. She is incredibly smart and knowledgeable. I was in great hands. She got my heart rate under control immediately.

Wish there was a -5 star option. Straight up disrespectful, unprofessional behavior. Spoke in a condescending tone, making us feel dismissed and belittled. Overall, very disappointed with our experience and feel that she could benefit from some serious training in communication and patient care. It is vital for an ER doctor to be both compassionate and professional, unfortunately Dr Amin fell short on both counts. I hope changes are made to ensure that future patients have a more positive experience.

STEER CLEAR OF HER – Dec 02, 2024

Definitely NOT Recommended
Terrible and Unprofessional: As soon as Dr. Amin walked in the room we were met with an abrasive attitude and demeanor. She immediately said she didn't think we would be able to get the answers we were looking for even before we got started with the process. She did not do a history or physical. She just asked where the pain was. She was rude when we asked any questions, condescending in her responses, and had the gall to say that the ER was a place for the dying and emergencies, not to find out what problems are for. We were there to make sure that there was not a life threatening issue. If she had done her job, she would have been able to determine that by asking questions or listening to the details that landed us in the ER to begin with. She was aggressive when she came back with the results, and told us to follow up with our PCP. We left with unanswered questions, still in pain, and in urgent need of care. She took the CARE out of HEALTHCARE.

I would not recommend her, the reviews say it all. I found myself very disrespected during the whole ER process, if you have this person as your doctor switch immediately

The most disgusting doctor
She is the most incompetent, disrespectful doctor I have ever met in my life. She disregarded everything I said and gave me a ton of attitude. I walked out of the hospital untreated after waiting for 4 hours because of how awful she is. She should not have a medical license.

I have never had a worse experience with a Dr at UCSF. She had terrible bedside manner and had no compassion during a very scary time for me. She was not only cold as ice to me, but was treating the young guy she was training like dirt. I really hope she was just having a bad day and that she doesn't normally treat people so bad. (Especially scared patients in excruciating pain)

I thought I was having miscarriage and went to the hospital in the middle of the night. She was so understanding and thoroughly explained exactly what she was doing in terms of testing. She was so emotionally supportive to me and my husband the entire night as she could tell how scared we were. Very kind and empathetic. She even called me two days later to check in.
