This doctor has gotten progressively unprofessional and unfriendly the more I've seen him. He really needs to learn to have a little respect for his patients, the same respect that is given to him. I should probably find another doctor.

I have been a patient of Dr. Waravdekar for several years and would highly recommend him as a pulmonologist! He has a great bedside manner. He takes his time and listens to my health concerns. He followed me closely for over a year after having bi-lateral pneumonia and CT scans that continuously showed residue in my lungs. His staff is equally kind and efficient….If I call with questions for the doctor, someone always calls me back with an answer in a timely manner.

I am a young and active mom with a sudden onset of intense chest pain after having mono. The ER found an extremely large mass (ended up being a calcified lymphnode), and they sent me here to follow up. He completely blew me off! When tried to speak up and asked what I could do to manage the pain, he responded with "I think you are being a little dramatic." I got up, thanked him for his time, and I ended the session immediately. As I left his office, he followed me into the hallway where he proceeded to yell at me and say"you're weird" in front of other patients. I hightailed it out of there in tears! I ended up going to John's Hopkins where I was treated with the utmost respect and dignity by a team of several doctors who had never seen a case like mine before. I am a clinician, and I cannot imagine speaking to my patients like that. Ths whole office is rude with zero compassion.

My PCP suggested that I see another Pulmonologist for another opinion, which I did. When I went back to Dr W’s , he saw that I visited another Dr and said ..”we’re done” and walked out of the office without allowing me to speak. So rude an unprofessional!

I've been going to Dr. Waravdekar for about 6 years and have found him to be very professional and an excellent pulmonologist. He's a caring doctor and he's an impressively straight shooter, giving you the facts and insight which most doctors are not willing to do. If you ask a question, he will answer it.

Seen him twice. Very unprofessional. Unpleasant but yet very opinionated when it comes to how your house is ventilated. Will send you home with so many more questions than you came in with and untreated and no medication. Basically makes fun of your illness and makes you feel ashamed that you are sick

I have been going 3 years since having a ct scan that showed a nodule in my lung. His assistant wanted me to breathe into the Spirometer first. I questioned the sanitary condition of it. Obviously we as patients can't see or tell that it has been cleaned and disinfected. I said I wouldn't do it this time. Instead of explaining the cleaning procedure they got insulted. He said he couldn't tell if the my inhaler worked without it and basically kicked me out of the office. I don't use an inhaler.

no way. after 1st visit husband didn't want to return, but I talked him into returning, should have listened. Third & final appt, we called from the car that we were going to be 10 minutes late, they said ok, when we got there, 10 minutes late, refused to see my husband, said they have a 8 minute rule plus they were charging me $25 for a no show. why didn't they tell me on phone? Dr. Waravdeker refused to talk to us. I was furious. Office manager told us we were not welcomed in the practice

Actually, I would not recommend this practice to anyone. Did not listen to my feedback, and I was not improving. I changed practices, and found a doctor who listens and allows me to be a partner in my healthcare. I’ve greatly improved!

I would never recommend Neil Waravdekar even to my worst enemy. Dr. Waravdekar has no bedside manner. He does not take the time to listen to his patients. This is a business of making money and not a business of taking care of people for him. He doesn't make you feel that he cares about you the patient. He thinks he's GOD and if you advocate for yourself and he thinks differently, well watch out. He is arrogant, rude, and uncaring.

I would never recomend Dr Waravdekar or anyone in his office to anyone...ever! After being told by the emergency room staff to go see a pulminologist immediately, I had to work with this rude, uncaring, and truculent office staff for 3 weeks just to make an appt for a month later. Held up by a Thunderstorm with flooding and consequent accidents, I was 17 min late to that appt where my wife was waiting in the office and had filled out all the paperwork, but Dr Waravdekar turned us away.

OMG, take a hit of you inhaler and run away. This is the most unforgiving and rude practice that I have ever experience. Highly recommend you that look at Doctors in Gaithersburg or Balitimore. This practice will only cause you frustration. The inefficiency and rudeness of the office staff will definelty take your breath away. It is obvious to me that this doctor does not care about his patients. Please note, if you are 30 seconds late, regardless of situation, you will be tuned away.

I am 64 years old with no smoking history. No meds. I had a dry couph for 6 months. He told me I was faking and take a sip of water. I went back two weeks latter and he sent me home with two weeks steriods. I got somewhat better and had a follow up with a very dry extreme couph for three additional month now I ask three times for a CT and a PFT and he absolutely refused. I got into Hershey medical and found I had ground glass syndrome inflammation. He should have done the CT and PFT.

Went to Dr. Waravdeker for info on sarcoidosis. That's it! He had no concerns, but ordered testing. I have cancer, followed closely & by many, & will leave for serious surgery in 2 weeks. I explained I'll have similar testing before surgery, questioned the need & urgency for tests, & that I want to spend these weeks with my family. He got angry, yelled repeatedly down the hallway, never gave me reason for the tests, & told me I could've found the info online. I left crying wish I had more space-
