Dr. Neza Bharucha, MD

Dr. Neza Bharucha is one of the best psychiatrists I ever had the pleasure of working with as a patient. I was diagnosed with bipolar at the age of 15 and as of writing this review, I am 37 so I have worked with a lot of psychiatrists in my life. When I lost my job I also lost my insurance which meant I lost my meds. Dr. Neza not only went out of her way to check in on me even though we did not have an appointment but also helped me set up a plan of getting back onto my meds that I could afford. I never had psychiatrists do this for me in my life. If you are asking your self "Should I bother to have Dr. Neza as my psychiatrist?" The answer should be yes! If it was not that I got my next job in Washington I would have signed back up to be under the care of Dr. Neza in a heartbeat. So yes I strongly recommend Dr. Neza and will continue to till there is not an ounce of breath in my lungs. Thank Dr. Neza for both your service and your kindness I will miss you greatly!

For a long time, I considered my worries to be situation based but in the last few years I found myself in more situations all the time. I sought help from Dr. Bharucha to learn how to cope better with my anxiety from a chemical perspective and a behavioral perspective. I enjoy my life a lot more now and am relatively stress free with Dr. Bharucha’s help.

One of the hardest things for me was to find a doctor with whom I could feel a connection and no judgement. When I met Dr. Bharucha, I immediately felt I could safely share my problems. Dr. Bharucha is strategic and knows how to unlock answers from within. She is mindful when prescribing and only does so if she feels it can help. Dr. Bharucha is genuinely invested in my mental health and well being. I am a better version of myself because of Dr. Bharucha.

My psychiatrist is retiring. Over the years we have fine-tuned my regimen of medications for my very complex long-term condition. My medications fall outside the accepted and recommended amounts of medications needed to control my condition. Over many years I have gone thru uncountable trials, most which did nothing at all, and some which did great harm. None worked. Except the current regimen which exceeds the "accepted" amount of that medication. This regimen has worked excellently for several years with no adverse effects. Now my doctor is retiring and he recommended Neza Bharucha. During the initial telecon Dr Bharucha chastised me for having medications outside their recommended use, and it went "against all her training". If I were to become her patient she would change my medications immediately, even if it did me harm. Bharucha is inexperienced with real patients, and will only go by he book. I highly DO NOT recommend her. Wait til she gets 10 years real life experience.
