Dr. Ngoc-Truc Duong, MD

Highly recommend not going to this doctor. She referred to taking my anxiety medication as "popping benzos" and told me that "a lot of moms drink a glass of wine, take Nyquil, pop a benzo and don't wake up." This doctor ignored all of my health concerns when I transferred to Kaiser from Sutter and I felt so unwelcome that I have not been back to the doctor for a year now. Despite trying to discuss other concerns with her, she kept harping on "popping benzos," and I had to ask her what she meant by that because that is not how I would refer to a medication that I rely on to calm my panic attacks and other issues stemming from PTSD. This doctor should not be allowed to practice as far as I'm concerned. After reading the other reviews, I see I'm not the only one who had these issues.

Dr. Duong is very comprehensive in her diagnoses. I have found her to be friendly and courteous each of my several visits. She's not afraid of criticizing me when I have not followed her instructions but always in a friendly instructive manner. Would definitely recommend Dr. Duong to anyone looking for a great family practice physician.

She is extremely rude. Doesn't listen and gets fixated on certain things. Does not care about the mental wellness of her patients and how that contributes to their health. She has moved to Sutter bringing her poor attitude with her. Stay away from this Dr. if you would like any type of care.

Can't count on your appointment actually happening. I scheduled my new patient appointment and had a 62 day wait to get in for my first appointment. two days before the set date I received a call from the office letting me know that they could not see me since the doctor no longer accepts new Medicare patients. I had checked acceptable insurances online while initially making my appointment. Both Medicare and Blue Shield medigap coverage were on the acceptable list. Now I recheck.. still there
