Dr. Nicholas Cummings, MD

I am writing this review of Dr Cummings because of the terrible experience I had with him at the VA Hospital Tampa. I was at the VA to have surgery on both feet. I was in pre-op waiting to meet with Dr. Cummings to discuss my past experience with anesthesia. I had many medical procedures in the past 15 yrs that required anesthesia, (brain surgery). I know how my body react to anesthesia and pain killer such as morphine. My meeting with Dr Cumming did not go well. I insisted that he use Propofol for my anesthesia and no pain killer. I get violently sick and have a difficult time waking up. But I felt that this all fell on deaf ear with this Doctor. I should have got up and walked out. But I will never have surgery at the VA Hosp. Tampa again. This surgery should have taken 3 hrs from pre-op thur surgery and then recovery. I went in for surgery at 1300 hrs and did not leave the hosp. until 2200 hr. I spent 7 hrs in recovery. He should be taught to listen to his patients, and more...
