Wonderful physician
Telehealth
I have been working with Dr. Domaney for several years now and he is by far one of the most kind, compassionate, helpful physicians that I have worked with. During my appointments, I feel like I am seen, heard, and cared for. He is wonderful.

A Very, real, caring, knowledgeable Psychiatrist
Dr. Domaney is warm and welcoming. For me, I never feel rushed but also, he remembers things about you from other visits and always has good solutions. I really think he takes care to treat everyone with respect and like an individual. I don't worry about going to see him or what he may think. He is a kind man.

Extremely condescending
Dr Domaney was completely unprepared for our appointment, having not read any previous testing reports that were done. He was condescending and decided he knew exactly the problem within minutes of meeting me. When questioned he became more defensive about his ideas and plan and was not interested in any type of Dr /patient collaboration which is crucial in the mental health field. As a health care provider myself I was appalled at his approach and left with a very bad taste in my mouth.

I have been seeing Dr Domaney for a few years and I cannot rate him highly enough. He is compassionate and cares deeply about his patients. Is very responsive in email and has solved issues with meds with me. Highly recommend.

Worst psychiatry experience
Dr. Domaney gave me a prescription and when it didn’t work he revealed to me that he purposely gave me the lowest dose possible and that he didn’t expect me to experience any relief from it. He refuses to prescribe one type of medication because I’m “medically complicated” but refuses to collaborate with my other doctors to find a solution while simultaneously pushing a medication that is likely to exacerbate one of my medical conditions despite my explicit refusal to take it. He is the most condescending medical professional I’ve ever interacted with and he regularly gaslights me when I correct something he says and he then proceeds to tell me that that is what he was saying and I’m just not understanding him. Avoid him at all costs if you want any kind of compassionate and competent medical care.

Great doctor!
I’ve had a great experience with Dr Domaney. Unlike what others are reporting, he is attentive with me, insightful, patient, and ensures all my questions are being answered. He’s never rushed me or jumped to conclusions - quite the contrary. He asks good questions and draws insightful conclusions. He’s very empathetic and compassionate as well.

Made his assumptions of me 5 minutes into the apt
I rarely feel strongly enough one way or the other to write a review. However, my appointment with Domaney left me with a pit in my stomach. He made his assumption of me as a whole person 5 minutes into the first appointment. He was so quick to judge, instead of asking clarification questions, he would just make an inaccurate/judgmental statement about me and I would have to correct him. I felt like I was defending myself the whole appointment instead of talking about my life and my experiences. As someone who has worked on myself and my mental health for years, I felt able to advocate for myself. But thinking about my younger self, quiet spoken and lacking confidence, this appointment with Domaney could have been DEVASTATING. And that is why I am writing this review. Looking at his credentials, I saw that he is a professor... It is a sad day for the future of our mental health care system to know that this man is teaching the next generation

Disappointing care quality
He does not listen or come prepared for appointments. If I ask for help with an issue, he always puts me off until next time. He does not listen to my medication concerns.

Dr. Domaney seemed like a very nice person, but I felt like he didn't listen to what I was saying. I had multiple appointments with him, and he would focus in on one small thing that I mentioned, rather than the problems that I was seeing him for. I felt as though he might have not trusted me, as he would also speak in a condescending manner at times.
