Dr. Nicholas Panetta, MD

From the first time I walked in Dr.Panetta office addressed my concerns he immediately showed he cared. We went over my history chart then he told me to wait 6 months because I had to pass 2 test 3months apart. Before he walked out he shook my hand and told me he believed in me and said “I’ll be seeing you soon”. 12 20 2024 Dr.Panetta did my Panniculectomy and he also created me a new belly button that I have yet to see because I’m scared. His staff was so polite, helpful, and reassuring. I go back January 2 I pray I’m able to get the tubes out lol. Thanks Dr.Panetta and staff for doing an amazing job and taking care of me until I was discharged. I highly recommend. Love you guys forever!!!!!!!

This doctor denied me care openly and with documentation based strictly on demographic classification having nothing to do with my health or human anatomy. Complaints and investigations have been opened with the office of civil rights, the health department and the institution he practices, USF; who has always treated me fairly, with dignity, and never denied me care. In fact I’ve had many positive experiences with USF for surgery and visits. He is just a bad apple and only sees a certain type of human being. You’ve been warned.

Dr. Panetta did an excellent job with my breast reconstruction after my double radical mastectomy. He definitely is the best.

I had a mastectomy and breast reconstruction at Moffitt a couple of years ago. My doctor for reconstruction was Dr. Panetta, recommended by my Moffitt cancer surgery doctor. Dr. Panetta initially showed some energy and care about my surgery but overtime he appeared distracted and irritated. He did a bad job on my reconstruction, with my breasts uneven and unattractive. When I first came to Moffitt, I was told by the nurse that their mission was to make the breast look like it did before the surgery. That mission was never reached, not even close. After three surgeries without significant improvement, he was increasingly rude and sarcastic, plus little recall of my case. At the third and final appointment, I asked him what my options were and he rudely responded: "It does not work like that." I have no idea how one can choose their treatment path without knowing their options. As a psychologist, I felt he was not in a state of mind to treat women, it was, in fact, traumatic.

I had an accident and in turn broke the bone on one side of my face that holds the jaw in place . I was rushed to TGH and Dr. Panetta was assigned to my case. From day one he and his staffs kindness and amazing surgery work Dr. Paneeta did was what got me through a very painful and stressful month of jaw wire . For a month I had to check in for an apt every week. Each week he and his staff helped me through this process of healing I cant thank them enough. Dr. Panetta is an amazing Doctor and would recommend him to anyone

Follow up visit to check on heart issues. Visit was on time with very friendly and capable staff. Dr. Panetta checked me out and went over all my questions and concerns. He was very patient and listened to me. He gave me his analysis in a easily understood explanation. I find him very personable and easy to deal with.

Had a consultation today with Dr. Panetta to discuss reconstruction after breast cancer surgery. Within minutes of meeting me for the first time, he managed to insult one of my other doctor's course of treatment for a chronic illness. He had a preconceived agenda after reviewing my chart outside the door of the exam room, dismissing any input from me. Condescending, unprofessional and overall cocky. Find another doctor.

Phenomenal. My original surgeon did not want to hear my thoughts and said could not do what I thought I needed after reading up about it. Said surgery time length too much for her and could only do part of what I needed. So she finally passed me off to younger Pannetta. He was great at listening and can do attitude. Reconstructive Surgery went brilliantly. Could not of asked for a better result and a better attitude throughout my process.

Left me with a terrible infection and did zero diagnostic work after informing him my primary care physician had confirmed infection from cultures, and wound smelled like rotting flesh. Now apparently the infection has led to abscess. Months of pain. Try a better surgeon. This one doesn't listen or do diagnostic work.

Knowledgeable. Kind. Caring.

Get a second opion. Trust me, I pay the price now for not getting one.

I left my consult feeling as if he completely invalidated me as a person. He refused to hear my concerns and only said “you look great” outside appearance and how someone actually feels are very different and he didn’t care at all to listen to me as a human. I do not recommend him. His resident was great. She listened to me, understood my pain and felt like the change i wanted was very reasonable. Dr. Panetta crushed that the minute he walked in and decided I “looked” fine.

I saw Dr Panetta after doing much research on my complex case. Breast reconstruction and continued pain. I needed a 2nd opinion. He walked in and took one look at my chest and looked at the scars and said there is nothing I can do for you. He didn't even know what I was going to ask for. Spent less than 5 minutes. I guess I wasn't important as he was in a hurry. For future patients who send documents, Dr please read! Call the patient and don't waste their time which you did on me

Have nothing but good words to say about Dr Panetta. Explains everything - any questions answered professionally. Great office staff and very easy to accommodate.

Would highly recommend Dr. Panetta. His surgical skills are a gift. He truly cares about the patient as a whole and strives for the best end result. He is kind and compassionate. The best in the area!

*continued then thus would not be a plastic surgeon you are looking for. Not sure if his decision was because us health group being conservative, but as a doctor he ignored his patient, did not help. And certainly insulted me very much. I'm EXTREMELY displeased. Not only that, but hurt that he did not see my problem big enough to deal with and that I should just live with it

Dr. Panetta is caring, compassionate, easy to talk to. He made me feel comfortable ...with a smile on his face he answered all my questions. He's an amazing doctor and his staff is courteous, caring and compassionate as well. I am very happy to have entrusted my care to him.

The staff from the minute you walk in take care of you and by the time you sit you're called by your appointment time both Dr. Panetta and Tatiana and his staff were thorough and answered any questions I had . And are still answering my questions prior to the surgery date. Looking forward to the results from this Amazing team!

Took as much time with me as needed. Was extremely knowledgeable and generally excited to go the extra to be sure I was having the most current and effective surgery experience. He was fantastic and would highly recommend him.
