He was my doctor for over 24 years, he will be greatly missed. I saw him every 4-6 months. Medicine has changed and lost so many fine specialists, it’s very hard to find new ones.

Awesome surgeon and fine person!
Dr. Tawa is outstanding. He is friendly, warm, empathetic and interested in you as a person. He is a surgeon who clearly knows his stuff, but he does not come across as arrogant or condescending as many great surgeons might. He makes himself available for support and consultation more than is even necessary. His team handle all the details with courtesy and efficiency. I appreciate him and feel like I am in good hands with him as my surgeon and doctor.

Amazing
Very thorough. Never felt rushed. He’s very kind and patient, and is willing to find the right treatment even if it means surgery is not the right approach, and since he’d be the surgeon, that’s admirable.

Dr. Tawa is an exceptional doctor. He was extremely responsive, he fully explained my situation to me and my wife and the process we were going to go through. His knowledge and demeanor provides you with great confidence and his follow-up was equally as good. I couldn't have had a better experience with a doctor and would highly recommend him.

I Have seen Dr. Tawa for the past three years, needing surgeries each year for a recurrent sarcoma. He calms me down, explains all options, is sympathetic, empathetic, and wonderfully caring...lucky to have him sustaining my life!

Dr. Tawa is an extremely caring, responsive, patient and knowledgeable surgeon with an outstanding team. No one like to hear the word "cancer," but Dr. Tawa made me feel safe and confident that I was in the best hands for my care. As for waiting time, I feel he spent the time with me I needed and didn't feel rushed--which is appropriate. I would want any other patient to likewise not feel they were being rushed with such a potentially upsetting diagnosis.

I was extremely stressed today when I came to see Dr. Tawa for the first time. Dr. Tawa made me feel comfortable and confident that this is the right place to come when you need an excellent surgeon with great bedside manners.The clinic was very clean and staff was friendly and professional.
