Dr. Nicholas Tranakas, MD

Dr. Tranakas performed 2 successful surgeries on me. He explained what was involved with both of the procedures. His caring attitude and compassion made me feel calm. I highly recommend Dr. Tranakas to my family and friends.

Dr Tranakas is truly an outstanding doctor/ surgeon. I recently had a surgery done by Dr Tranakas. I am grateful to him for being so understanding and caring. He answered all my questions pre and post surgery. He addressed all my concerns. I feel lucky to have been under the care of the Best doctor/surgeon . A scary and stressful experience would have been unbearable without the care , patience and skills of Dr Tranakas. I highly recommend Dr Tranakas to my friends and loved ones. His staff is very professional and welcoming. They definitely deserve more than five stars ??

Very pleasant and thorough

I went to see Dr. Tranakas because he was highly recommended. He is a Diplomate with the American Board of Surgery and holds FSSO and FACS rankings. On my first visit, I broke down into tears in his office with my results. Dr. Tranakas is much more than his credentials. He gave me advice on how to deal with breast cancer and made sure I knew he would be there for me. I am grateful that he helped me through these difficult years. He is an incredible surgeon who sincerely cares about his patients!

Dr. Tranakas is a caring professional and dedicated doctor. When I first went to see him, I was extremely upset with my test results and didn't know what to do at all. Dr. Tranakas took the time to go over my mammograms and ultrasounds personally with me, and explained all of my options in very clear terms. He is a wonderful doctor who made a huge difference in my life. I wish that my other doctors were as compassionate and helpful as he is.

Diagnosed with breast cancer, he saw me the next day. I was so scared, and told him so. He held my hand and told me everything would be alright, and I knew that I would somehow make it through. He performed a mastectomy on me and it was done well. He still sees me almost three years later for follow ups, and I always feel better after seeing him. A kind, compassionate and skilled doctor.

I went to Dr. Tranakas for a mole on my breast that changed in color from brown to black. I am so thankful that I went to see him! He understood I was scared and made me feel 100% comfortable with the biopsy being done. I feel we need more physicians like Dr. Tranakas who actually care for their patients. It's a nice feeling to know I have a great general/oncology surgeon for myself, family and friends. Dr. Tranakas is a wonderful physician that I highly recommend. A+++++

Dr. Tranakas is extremely unethical. He preformed unnecessary surgery to remove in-situe melanoma. This is most commonly an in-office procedure, and I was never provided justification for why there was a deviation from the standard treatment. I now have a 4 inch scar on my right shoulder and over $2,000.00 in hospital bills. When I called his office his staff was extremely rude and tried to make me pay an additional fee to obtain records of my visit! I am still waiting for the pathology report!

There is not enough good things I can say about DR. Tranakas. I was referred to him after my dermatologist found malignant melanoma in my arm. Dr. Tranakas was so kind to me and answered all my questions about surgery, etc. I never felt rushed or like my visit wasn't important. On the day of my surgery, the nurses who attended to me also had ONLY great things to say about Dr. Tranakas. I feel very blessed that he was able to help me and I highly recommend him to anyone.
