I highly recommend Dr. Garbis for replacement shoulder surgery. He operated on my 77-year-old mother recently in May 2021. She had been suffering from arthritis and in addition to a ruptured rotator cuff for about a year and was very hesitant to have surgery after going through shots, etc with another orthopedic doctor. Dr. Garbis was recommended by a pain specialist and I’m so Grateful for that recommendation. Dr. Garbis explained her options with surgery being one of them. He explained the surgery details (before and after) with such detail and made her feel very comfortable that she immediately agreed to have the surgery and it was the best choice. After six weeks she was pain free, could lift her arm and do housework with no pain. He is a great listener and very patient.

Phenomenal surgeon! When attempts to repair my shoulder proved unsuccessful, we decided to do a replacement. Shoulder replacement is a complex procedure requiring not only a good surgeon but a surgeon that understands the mechanical operation and is capable of engineering a good solution. My situation added complexity with age (75), a heart condition, and the associated blood thinner. Dr. Garbis proved exceptional in every area. Before selecting Dr. Garbis I did extensive research. First, everyone in the medical field that knows of him chose him over all others. Next, his track record is second to none. He is highly recommended by all that know him! Finally, two of my friends, and multiple online reviews revealed that typical rehabilitation to restore normal function takes six months to a year. At three months I was able to ride my motorcycle and do anything I wanted. Now, at six months, I continue to exercise and stretch my new shoulder, but I’m completely pain-free.

My mom had issues with her arm. Dr Garbis has found the her muscle has fell off the shoulder. And needed to be reattached. Mom was very reluctant we have convinced her to get the surgery. He did a wonderful job. 10 months later mom has no pain and has full motion. We are so happy and would recommend this doctor

I had a shoulder injury for about 1.5 years. I'd seen multiple doctors before Dr. Garbis who looked at my MRI's and did not see anything wrong. I continued to have pain so I went to Dr. Garbis and he stated that he saw a tear in my labrum and a ganglion cyst. He had treated both these injuries before and told me he felt comfortable a surgery could have a positive outcome. I felt very comfortable discussing my injury with Dr. Garbis and I emailed him any questions I had with legitimately immediate response times, it was very impressive and I almost appreciated that as much as anything. He updated me with what he saw in my shoulder after the surgery and that everything went well. He then connected me with an awesome physical therapist. I was back exercising 4-5 times a week after about 4 months post labrum tear surgery. This is extremely good recovery time. I'd recommend any one to Dr. Garbis and would be glad to share my experience with any future patient he sees.

Dr. Garbis is an experienced, accomplished, and caring surgeon. He took the time to listen and advise so that I had the best care for my case. I had an elbow replacement with months of infection management prior to surgery. Dr. Garbis involved a wonderful ID Doctor, and all of my care was well-coordinated. The result has exceeded my expectations. The entire staff is efficient and accurate, always executing top rate patient care. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Garbis and team.

Dr. Garbis is without a doubt the best surgeon I have ever had. His responses to all my questions and concerns were always promptly answered. I had right shoulder surgery on 12-13-17, torn rotator, bicep, bone spur and labrum. June 19, 2018 I was released from therapy and my shoulder is almost 100%. I experienced very little pain. He is truly a professional and cares about his patients. I strongly recommend considering Dr. Garbis for shoulder surgery. He is a gem!!! TY Dr. Garbis Russ Nicoletti

Dr. Garbis is extremely knowledgable shoulder problems. I went to heim for a second opinion and decided to have my rotator cuff surgery preformed by him. My reasons were his knowledge, detailed explanation of what was required during the surgery and the rehab following surgery. If I had any questions or concerns I could email Dr. Garbis and he would answer my email within 8 hours - that is a rarity these days. Thank you - Dr. Garbis

Dr. Garbis has an excellent bedside manner, thorough and caring. He listens and didn't make assumptions about how I was feeling. I saw Dr. Belich at the same office who totally wrote me off without even doing an aMRI or anything in office. I immediately went for a second opinion as I'm in nursing and Dr. Garbis immediately identified my problem gave me an injection in my shoulder and I was immediately able to move it. He gave me many options to how I wanted care and explained in detail.

It is my pleasure to write a review about Dr. Garbis. He operated on my right primary arm shoulder to repair 3 completely torn rotator cuffs. Prior to my surgery, he took the time to thoroughly explain my sutgery in a professional and personable manner, and I knew that I was in good hands. My progress since surgery has been remarkable, and I truly feel this is reflective of the superior surgical skills of Dr. Garbis. I highly recommend Dr. Garbis and thank him for his care and genuine concern!

Dr Garbis is very professional and personable. He is patient in listening to my questions and concerns and quite thorough in his answers and explanations. I particularly appreciate the time he takes reviewing my status including showing me the X-rays of the before and after surgery and subsequent followup evaluations. My treatment has been excellent and I feel I could not be in better care.
