Inappropriate Behavior
I am at perimenopause age. I asked Dr. Dooley questions regarding various menopause treatment options that I read about in an article (written by a gynecologist). Dr. Dooley became hostile and loud, and scolded me for questioning her competency as a doctor (which I did not). I silently waited a moment for her to calm down, then told her I was only repeating what I read. She recommended taking me off birth control to “see how it goes.” I was not comfortable with her assessment. She is knowledgeable as a primary care doctor, but is clueless about menopause management. I am disappointed that she didn’t have the professionalism to refer me to someone else who could better answer my questions. I am appalled by her disturbingly inappropriate outburst for asking her medical related questions. She is quite disdainful, arrogant and has a volatile temper. I will not be seeing her again.

Went in for a pre-op checkup and an annual checkup and during the exam she became very rude about her opinions on some medical options and very arrogant in her conversation with me. She wasn’t willing to listen, but instead became loud and somewhat belligerent in talking to me and had to quiet herself down. It was very strange and uncomfortable, but because I needed the exam for an upcoming surgery with another doctor, I decided to finish up the appointment and then I would handle it later. She talked down to me and had no interest in wanting to understand why I may have specific medical questions. I’ve never had such a rude doctor visit, ever. I left her office shaking on my insides bc she was so arrogant and gave me false information. After I got my blood work results, I called her office to talk with someone about the visit, but am still awaiting a call back.

I came in looking for help because of chronic back pain (6-8 on the pain scale) and a message therapist had told me there was something wrong with the shape of my spine. Dr. Dooley took my family history and twisted it. She spent 10 full minutes telling me that I must have Munchausen's (google it) because my father died when I was young, so really I must just want attention, and there is no pain. After a lengthy argument I finally got her to agree to basic x-rays which showed 2 different types of scoliosis. I never recieved an apology. Don't see Dooley if you have any history of mental health issues or traumatic life experiences, unless you want to be gaslighted and neglected. Do not see her if you are young and have chronic or complex health issues. I honestly don't know why people like her become doctors.

She never addressed the main issues I have, and I told the staff member this when called with test results. I was told the doctor would call me, and I've never heard a word, so now I have to find another doctor.
