Dr. Nicolas Cortese, DO

Dr.Cortese is my PCP for about 3 years. Every visit I had so far, he listens to all your questions and concerns & explain the issue & remedy to the very detail level that anyone can understand. I highly recommend him.

Wonderful, smart and a good sense of humor. Me and my husband, had to move, or we would never have left him.

Dr. Cortese is knowledgeable, patient and has a great bedside manner. At times I’ve felt written off by other doctors, but Dr. Cortese listened very closely and asked thoughtful follow-up questions. I’ve followed his suggestions and seen a huge improvement in my symptoms—I was skeptical at first but I’m so grateful I tried what he suggested.I think he’s caring, intelligent, knowledgeable and also organized, ordering the needed tests and refills right away. It can be hard to find a doctor who you can truly trust with one’s family’s health and I feel relieved that we’re in good hands with his office. Good staff too, in my experience.

I’m a complicated patient with a very complex history. At first he seemed to be a good fit but when I would send a portal message and he would respond in all caps, that made me feel like I was being scolded for asking a question rather than cared for. He did not have a lot of availability and his answer to everything was if I was feeling that bad I should go to the ED. I don't feel like he was a part of my team. I felt stressed any time I had to reach out to his office knowing I was going to get a rude response. I will not be going back and do not recommend him for anyone with a complex history.

Dr. Cortese is a great listener and wants to genuinely get down to the root of your problem/health over shoving another pill to you. He explains things in an easy to understand way and always asks if what he’s saying make sense to you. I’ve been seeing him for over a year now and can honestly say the improvement in my health has come from his care and support.
