Dr Phan did my surgery after a length stay in hospital. Seemed very caring u til after surgery an I found somethings has been overlooked and should have been referred to an endocrinologist and Phan and. MUIM dropped the ball and let it go. Transferred to Dr Werthammer

I had a pretty severe herniated disc which had pretty much ruined my quality of life. I was miserable and in constant pain. Dr. Phan was able to see me very quickly for my initial consult. Just before my appointment, I accidentally sat on my MRI disc while in the waiting area and broke it. I was stressing out! He assured me it was no big deal and laughed it off. He was flexible and able to view the images another way. Dr. Phan was friendly and knowledgeable. He presented my options efficiently and listened to my concerns and questions. I was terrified of surgery, as I had never had a surgical procedure before. His confidence made me feel I had made the right choice. He worked my surgery into his schedule quickly despite being booked up. I would recommend Dr. Phan to anyone! He gave me my life back and I am so appreciative!

Dr. Phan and the Nurse Practioner are both great... They follow up after my yearly brain MRI.. I love the fact that they pull up my scans and show me visually what they are explaining, within my results. The entire staff are very courteous and friendly..

I was finally glad to get in to see someone so quick, I've been in so much pain. The staff has been so great to make this happen.

I drove 2 hours to see him. He spent approximately 5 minutes with me, didn’t even look at the whole MRI. HE was the absolute most arrogant, rude doctor I have ever met. Would absolutely not recommend.

He has helped me with my back and I would recommend him to help anyone with there needs great guy

My husband has been struggling with upper back pain for going on 4 years. Between Dr Hollinger & Dr.Phan they found the issue!!! He is very compassionate &cared very much about my Husband's pain. He found a resolution. But our insurance forced us to go elsewhere for treatment to be covered. Their specialist did add 2 additional fusions that my Husband needed but other than that Dr. Phan is great!!!

i tried explaining he wasn’t measuring my chiari malformation correctly and he just couldn’t listen. tried telling me i don’t have it after i’ve already been diagnosed and measured by a true specialist. saying he does this for a living except he used the wrong imagining and did it at the wrong spot. said i was free to leave and when i did said wow and other thing i couldn’t make out and heard until i left the waiting room. very rude, short and unprofessional. also didn’t take my other concerns into considerations, they weren’t even acknowledged. don’t recommend at all

Very rude and short with me. I’m 55 years old and never experienced a Dr like him. Never again.

My visit today was wonderful. wasn't rushed at all and wasn't in waiting area long . He is Very knowledgeable and listen to everything i said, Explained my diagnosis in a way i understood very well. Wonderful Treatment. This is the best Hospital to go for Spine treatments. Dr. Phan is the best

My appointment went very well. No waiting time and the staff was great. I sincerely loved the doctor. I knew what I was going to hear but this doctor tells you what you already knew. He is not in this practice for the money, he wants to help the patients. Although he could not help with my back pain I would highly recommend this doctor.

I’ve had issues with my back for years with herniated disks and spinal stenosis. Relocated back to WV about 4 years ago from Kentucky where I had a previous fusion in 2012. My family physician referred me to Dr. Phan at Cabell Huntington Hospital and I’ve been nothing more than pleased with my experience at their neuroscience department. Dr. Phan has been nice, friendly, and professional each time I’ve seen him. I had another spinal fusion done with Dr. Phan and I can honestly say that I’ve been pleased with him and the whole care team at Cabell Huntington Hospital. I don’t understand any negative reviews with Dr. Phan. He did a wonderful job with my surgery and his staff have been nothing short of nice and responsive. Besides being professional, he has been friendly and understanding listening to any issues I’ve had. The care I received in Louisville from my previous fusion doesn’t compare with the care I received with the care team at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

Helped me with neck surgery. I couldn’t do much with my hands and severe pain. Immediately after surgery was a great relief

I felt like a burden to him instead of a patient. Spent 2 minutes with me and said he couldn’t help me because the pain wasn’t going down my legs even though my foot stays numb. Total waste of time.

The moment we were transferred to cabell from ky we Dr. Phan made us feel at home. From arriving at 1am on a Sunday morning to surgery at 10am Monday morning I was not worried. He allowed for me to call the or and check in as often as I needed. As soon as surgery was done he came and talked with me in the waiting room. After about 8 months there was a complication and he saw us within two days to look over everything and calm our concerns. I would recommend him to anyone he is amazing

I went to see Dr. Phan for issues with my lower back. I was in a serious accident several years ago and have already been through surgeries, physical therapy and other procedures while living in another state. He immediately wrote me off as a pill seeker and told me there was nothing wrong with me. I have avoided surgery for many years because of fear. From the first moment Dr. Phan walked in the exam room, all the anxiety disappeared. He discussed my situation so I could understand the problem, the procedure & the expected results. He was patient & understanding of my concerns. He personally called me back to discuss further concerns I had. He is very confident & knowledgeable without being condescending. My surgery has gone well & I am already feeling substantially better post-op day 6.
