Dr. Nicole Dawson, MD

She was the anesthesiologists for both of my colonoscopies with Dr Chui at Portland Clinic in the past few years and both times they could not complete the procedure because I woke up or was coughing during the procedure. I also heard her tell the nurse for the patient before me that was returned to recovery that she did not need to be nice to them (she was called because they were having a difficult time waking up from recovery) "because they obstructed her job". I have had two other surgeries within the last two months of this and many before and NEVER had an issue with anesthesia. Her professionalism is horrible given what I heard her say to the other patient and my personal experience tells me she does not know how to do her job "unless things go perfectly". P.S. I had to leave at least one star for this review but I would have given her zero.

Dr. Dawson was my anesthesia provider for a recent surgery at the Alberty Surgery Center. She was focused, compassionate, empathetic, was able to tune into my personality quickly, and put me at ease. My procedure was not long; I have had other short procedures in the past. This was the first time I didn’t find myself in recovery freezing, shivering, or unable to feel warm. I know that OR was so cold when I went in there. I woke comfortably, and was able to go home quickly. High praise for Dr. Dawson from an OR RN. Thank you for taking such good care of me.

Dr. Dawson was very compassionate and thorough with my need for Anesthesia. She was interested in my past medical issues and answered all my questions to comfort me. She also showed me respect by staying with me as I was wheeled to the operating room. I would highly recommend her.
