Arrogant, condescending
If I could give a zero I would. Arrogant, condescending, completely uncaring. The worst I’ve experienced in a lifetime of doctors. My 84-year-old father fell and broke two vertebrae and two ribs. I asked if she wanted to know what medications he’s on. Nope. I asked which vertebrae and which ribs were fractured, and she looked at me like, “why does it matter?” Yuck! The worst. It’s too bad that she’s at the Alexandria, MN ER because the nurses and other staff there are top notch!

The most arrogant, uncaring mean doctor I’ve ever encountered. She accused me of getting pain meds that I never had and when I asked for proof, she would not provide it because her statement about pain meds prescribed to me was wrong.

Uncaring
This is the second time we saw Dr Lovat in the ER. Both times we were met with an uncaring attitude like we were wasting her time. Today we were seen for pain that was out of control after surgery. She spent 3 minutes with us and sent us away with no plan except that she wasn't going to help us. Thankfully we got ahold of our surgeon after several attempts before and after the ER visit and he provided a plan to help control the pain. He was very surprised that the ER did not provide an IV at least to help get the pain under control. I have been in the medical field for 24 years, and as an RN I am very disappointed at the care we have recieved on both occasions from her. From now on we will be driving, to the ER 30 minutes from our home to recieve care as this was substandard.

Kind and approachable
I feel comfortable talking to Dr. Lovat about things that I'm embarrassed to say to other doctors. She listens and understands. She's also incredibly smart. I don't want to see any other doctor!

She doesn't listen to the patient. Reports were inaccurate. She didn't even bother to read patient's chart just current medication then tagged patient an addict for taking one medication for less then 36 hours. She seemed annoyed to have to give a patient her time. There was three patients total in the department not busy at all.
