Dr. Nikesh Kapadia, MD

I was admitted to Tampa general for a kidney problem. I had been admitted at 2 different Hospitals for unknown diagnosis. Dr. Kapadia listened to me. I have never had a doctor try to understand what I had been through. I was very impressed. He felt the problem was related to my adrenal glands. He did blood work and was very thorough and turned out he was right! I was taking 6 pills before for this problem now I am only on 1. My blood pressure is good and my potassium is good. I am very happy with the care TGH gave me. Dr. Kapadia looks very young but he is very bright and helped fix my problem. Best doctor. *Listens to the patient*

I was very impressed with the Care I received from Dr. Nikesh Kapadia during my recent stay at Tampa General. He went above and beyond answering my (many) questions and following up with my requests. He is a Kind, sincere, respectful and approachable young Doctor. He made sure all my prescriptions were filled and delivered Bedside, free of cost before my Discharge. He is a Man of his word which is increasingly hard to find these days. The most attentive care I’ve received in these 7 Hospitalizations I’ve had since my Heart Attack in May 2021. Excellent care

Dr. Kapadia is an excellent doctor. He took care of me in the hospital for 4 days. He and his team were the best I have encountered having been hospitalized a number of times. He is thoughtful, caring and returned me to health!

While I believe Dr. Kapadia wants to be a good doctor, he falls short. First, he doesn’t listen to his patients. He cuts the patient off while they are sharing their needs for treatment. Second, he carries himself in a narcissistic manner. I’ve known and dealt with my medical conditions for over 20 years, and know what’s has worked best for my health management in the past. While trying to explain my past experiences and what has worked best for me in the past, he is staunch in his medical opinion and disregards his patient’s input and needs. Lastly, he lacks empathy. Like a sociopath, he can mimic empathy, but he doesn’t actually feel it. My hope is that, with experience, Dr. Kapadia will learn to be quiet while his patients speak, and actually consider that patients with chronic illness know their situation better than he does. Doctors should be allies to their patients, and Kapadia is not interested in actually knowing his patients and providing the best care. Save yourself!
