Dr. Nilesh Tannu, MD

I recently had a frustrating experience with Dr Tannu that left me feeling unsupported and undervalued as a patient. I was scheduled for a telehealth appointment, and when the time came, I found out that the appointment was cancelled—without any prior notice.While I understand that unforeseen circumstances can arise, the lack of communication and professionalism in this situation was concerning. It felt disheartening to have set aside time for what I believed would be an important consultation, only to be met with last-minute cancellations. This not only disrupted my schedule but also left me without the support I was seeking at a crucial time.Empathy and professionalism are key components of mental health care, and I felt that both were lacking in this instance. I hope my psychiatrist can improve communication with patients in the future, as timely updates can make a significant difference in our mental well-being.

Dr Tannu is an incredibly caring doctor. He does not just medicate, he offers a choice, and really takes each patients situation into consideration when determining how to treat. I recommend Dr Tannu to anyone who seeks to get well.

Starting even before our visit, Dr. Tannu was in communication with me and reviewing my past medical history. The fact that he took the time to try to understand me and my medical needs, even before we met, is testimony to the deep level of regard Dr. Tannu has for his patients. I found Dr. Tannu to be warm, personable, and easy to talk to. He showed a genuine interest in getting to know me, not only as a patient but also as a person. Although my visit was for medication management, it was clear that he wasn't some quack psychiatrist that is going to hand out pills like it's Halloween candy. We spent a good amount of time discussing the pros/cons of different medications and why one may be better for my needs. He was also very thorough in asking about my personal/familial medical histories, ensuring these drugs are appropriate and safe for me to be taking. I was thoroughly impressed with Dr. Tannu and have no reservations about recommending him to anyone seeking care.

I have been seeing Dr. Tannu for a few years now. After seeing a couple of other providers at other locations I feel I found the right fit. I'm very comfortable with him and the best part is he is honest. He truly cares and is just natural and genuine. I'm not scared to feel judged for being me. I have never felt pressured and it feels wonderful. I'm happy I found him.

I want to take a moment to thank you for giving your time, knowledge, skills and most of all for taking good care of me as your patient for past few years. I will be your patient as long as it's necessary!

1st time visit and Dr. Tannu is very professional! He is a great listener, relatable, #1 informative. Helpful with any issues concerning physical and mental health. Dr. Tannu is a great doctor. He is great person and listener, and he does not interrupt while you’re talking. If you may be talking at the same time, he will let you go ahead and talk first or ask a question and then he will respond. I really like Dr. Tannu!

I love Dr. Tannu. He has always provided the time I needed. I really feel listened to and cared about during my visits.

We are very unhappy with his services. He allows a medical assistant to contact us instead of a NURSE or NURSE PRACTITIONER. I also work in the medical industry and have never witnessed an MA delivering decisions with regards to a patients care - other than taking vitals and entering information into their medical chart. This is extremely unprofessional.

Cannot keep appointments, will lie to you during appointments, allows his nurses to make prescriptive decisions. This man will be the worst doctor you visit - I am filing complaints with multiple medical boards regarding his actions. DO NOT GO TO THIS DOCTOR.

He is very knowledgeable, professional and a caring doctor. I am glad I visited him after seeing another doctor.

I went to one other psychiatrist before finding Dr. Tannu. I’m glad I switched. He was able to recommend the right Rx that had minimal to any side affects the first time around. And he is easy to talk to.

Absolutely horrible office staff, doesn't seem to understand how the medicines he prescribes work. I was told that a 30 day supply of ADD medication is supposed to last 60 days. I was treated like a criminal despite bringing in previously prescribed medicine bottles. Avoid this doctor at all costs.
