Dr. Nilfar Karimova, MD

Dr. K’s heart is in the right place but she has a temper. As my husband’s advocate, I was shocked when she got angry with me when I questioned her diagnosis. She was reading charts on her computer and making conclusions on the fly, without apparent concern for the impact of her words. My husband’s case is complicated - she needs to do her homework, and be thoughtful, not arrogant. Maybe some me peer mentoring would be good for her. She barely interacted with my husband on this visit.

Dr. Karimova is very professional. She is patient, thorough, understanding and kind. I recommend her to everyone.

I have been visiting Dr. Karimova for 7 years. Before I saw her, I stuglled with many different diagnosis and health issues. I was on lots of different drugs for each condition and always felt bad. Since following Dr. K’s medical treatments, I have never felt better. Thank you for helping me stay healthy.

Outstanding. Dr Karimova is a brilliant Internist. She works with patients to find solutions they can afford and with which they can afford, and communicates carefully and clearly even when pressed for time. If you are looking for superb medical care from a compassionate care giver, you cannot find anyone better.

Extremely disappointing experiences with Dr. Karimova. Does not listen at all. Always rushed. Not at all helpful because she doesn't want to take the time to understand my issues.

Sensitive, attentive, doctor in the doctors office. In public, in a small town, acts as though she does not know you or see you, very unfriendly and rude in my estimation.

Dr. Karimova speaks English well enough to get along in routine appointments, but when there are involved questions or if you disagree with her proposed treatment plan, her lack of English proficiency is problematic, & her stubbornness kicks in. Once, she sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy. No big deal in that case as it was not a life-or-death situation, but it took me days to figure out what had happened. She's always in a rush because the schedulers allot such a short time for ea appt

Always rushed. Does not listen. Forgets why she has you set up follow ups with her and when you do come in for a follow up she rushes you out of there. Had me schedule a mole removal with her after my initial checkup and when I went back for my mole removal 2 months later she acted like she did not know why I set up an appointment and told me to contact a dermatologist.

Dr. K is very compassionate, caring, knowledgeable, and conscientious. The clinic packs way too many patients into the doctors' schedules in both JCHC clinics-- probably due to insurance guidelines for reimbursement. As a result, Dr. K is sometimes rushed. Even then, however, she answers all my questions

Dr Karamova is competent and compassionate but does not allow enough time for a visit and feels time pressure, which has lead to misunderstandings and inadequate guidance on drug use. There was no medical history form to give her on the first visit with only about 15 minutes to handle a serious case. Also, she does not provide adequately for vegetarians as far as diet goes. She seems unable to consult another specialist on a difficult case that does not respond well to her recommendations.
