Dr. Kokayeff was the hospitalist on night call when I was a patient. She went through and changed my meds prescribed by NEURO. I'm talking about meds that help with spasticity for my disease. The next day, the head of her dept got involved as well as the House Supervisors. She might be good with normal things, but she has no business trying to play that she is a Neurologist.

Dangerously negligent
Too many problems to list them all but Dr. Kokayeff was extremely dismissive and uncommunicative. She was assigned to my daughter's case at the hospital for two complications from her T1D. She only kind-of treated one of the conditions, putting in orders that went completely against protocols put in place by previous specialists, resulting in dangerously high blood glucose levels. She indicated that she didn't believe my daughter when she tried to tell the doctor about her well-documented history with this condition and the times it has been life-threatening for her. She ignored the critical numbers for the other condition and was going to discharge my daughter with no follow up testing or treatment. Our demand for another test showed critically high numbers that would have been life-threatening if my daughter had been sent home without the treatment another doctor had to step in and order. This resulted in a couple of unnecessary days added to her hospital stay. Total negligence!

Rude
Rudest doctor I have ever encountered. She wouldn’t return her page so my son in law missed two doses of antibiotics. The nurses even said she was not good.

Dismissed
Incredibly inattentive, did not do bare minimum of introducing herself as physician when entering the room. Seemed like patient's chart wasn't even read before coming in. Ended up dismissing as our doctor, which is incredibly stressful during an already stressful time as a hospital patient.
