Lazy and inconsiderate
Had to wait 6 months to get an appointment with her, and then she couldn't be bothered to appear in person. (But she 'preferred' not doing telehealth. Lady, you're seeing me from your living room while I'm sitting in an actual doc's office.) Spent the next 2 months trying to get a follow-up, only to have it rescheduled 3 times due to her refusing to work a day other than Friday (and ignored a written request for an earlier appointment because my child's meds needed adjusting) before it was ultimately cancelled because she 'left' the practice a month before she was actually scheduled to leave. There are very few child psychs in this county as is. If you can't be bothered to actually be around for your patients and do your job, pick another career.

I was extremely nervous to actually go in for my son's first appointment. It is something I’ve wanted to do for years but never had the courage to go through with it. Not knowing what to expect or really what to do Dr. Rao guided the session well and made me feel at ease. She is knowledgeable, understanding, and compassionate

So grateful
Dr Rao has truly been a help to my child. She is kind and caring and also challenges the things that need change. She has such knowledge and insight and is brilliant in her field. She has been a fighter for our situation and I could never thank her enough for how much she has helped our family.

Really Awful Doctor
This doctor could not be much worse. She talked to my daughter for five minutes, and in that five minutes told her, "I am one of the best doctors in the world." I kid you not, she said that multiple times. Then proceeded to diagnose my daughter with Bipolar disorder and 'suggest' a prescription for her. When I asked her to call in the script, she refused because she said that my child was not her patient. But we were under her care at the hospital. You can not, and should not, make a diagnosis of bipolar in five minutes. After further testing (in Chicago) it was confirmed that my daughter is not bipolar. This Doctor and this hospital have no clue what they are doing and were a total waste of our time and money. Really pathetic and sad that people needing mental health assistance are faced with dealing with this kind of horrible care.
