Dr. Noah Levit, MD

Dr. Levit prescribed a plethora of medications without what I felt was much warning on possible side effects. Although Dr. Levit has a kind demeanor; I became extremely sick from what he prescribed, and I had to throw out hundreds of dollars of medications from him. Although people experience different side effects, I would proceed with a high level of caution on any medication he recommends.

I recently visited Dr. Levit for my acne concerns, primarily on my back.Without even looking at my back, Dr. Levit prescribed spironolactone because he assumed it was hormonal (since it was on back and shoulders). He didn't even LOOK at it or ask to see! He suggested birth control in addition as a potential solution (assuming most women with acne have experienced this before -- doctors PUSH bc recklessly).I was prescribed spironolactone, a medication that typically requires careful monitoring as it is a potassium sparing diuretic and lowers blood pressure. Unfortunately, Dr. Levit didn't mention the need for bloodwork or provide any guidance on potential side effects or precautions related to this medication. Extremely impersonal.
