In 2010 dr. Perin performed a spinal fusion. After the surgery, he said I was fine! It is my personal opinion that you avoid this surgeon at all cost. I was recently told, a year ago they never finished the surgery, according to a doctor at a walk in clinic! I'm in shock! No blocks or spacers were used. The pain is unbearable. My life has been totally ruined in my personal opinion. Thank God for this practice that let me know. I was caring for my 90 yr old father. Know I see dr Perin has retired? Caution.

Saw the doctor for neck pain. It took about a month to get the appointment. No big deal. Sent ahead my Imaging as requested. Staff was easy to deal with via email and phone to make the appointment. They did need reminders to answer my email responses to them. That’s OK. Day of appointment was smooth. Went upstairs. Friendly staff checked me in. Spent 20min with the nurse practitioner answering good questions by her (but no exam). Doctor comes in. Totally disinterested. I guess seeing my imaging before i showed up he already determined there was no surgery necessary for me. States “you probably already had a neuro exam” so he did a very remedial exam. Note to readers, I’m a physician. Not once during the exam did he even examine my neck. I do not expect special treatment. But to not even examine my neck and range of motion was off putting. I suppose if my MRI was worthy of his OR skills, I’d feel differently. I guess I’m happy I don’t need surgery. But I still have neck pain.

Dr. Perin performed two surgeries on me and I am in need of a third. I have found out that Dr. Perin left two screws in my joints and a plate pressing into my spinal cord. You know it's bad when other surgeons outright tell you that another surgeon messed up. When the pain started to escalate again I went to see Dr. Perin again and he didn't seriously look at my imaging. He suggested getting facet joint blocks and said nothing else was wrong, then blew me off. It took over two weeks to get a response from his office regarding my new CT scan and x-ray. He didn't even bother to give me the results himself but had his PA talk to me. I asked about the screws in my joints - she called back to say he left them there on purpose. He should not be allowed to practice anymore. I am not even 40 and I am suffering due to what Dr. Perin did to my back. DO NOT SEE HIM.

Terrible experience. Perin cancelled my appointment the day before my follow up visit. Following my initial visit, he ordered a very expensive test and then went dark - failed to schedule a follow up visit or return a phone call with the results. His bedside manner is cold and uncaring. His office staff are rude and unprofessional. Perin never returns any of his own calls. He is too good for that. This doctor ought to retire and call t a day. He clearly does not want to help the needy which is what all doctors should do. Perin does harm by failing to diagnose and treat those who have clear cut problems and debilitating injuries like I presented but instead he refuses to meet with us head on. Do not waste your time with this man. Seek care from someone who really cares. Not him.

The doctor seems knowledgeable and confident in what he does. However his support staff has the absolute worst. His scheduling assistant has been leaving me an alert for the past 4 months. I have been waiting for an MRI with sedation appointment for the past 4 months and she has yet to make the appointment. I constantly called the office and no one ever calls me back. And if they do call you back it's days later after you've initiated a phone call with them. I can't recommend because of bad staf

Used to hold Dr "Perin" in high regard, but 2 yrs after performing surgery, he refused to give me an appt even tho' I was within the "3 yr window" per his office "rule". I wanted his valued opinion for another possible surgery, but he/staff made me jump thru hoops (mail MRI CD/reports/etc from OTHER doctors) b4 talking with me. This is WHY I wanted to see HIM, to get a 3rd opinion, not to collect what other doctors said! I even offered to pay for an out-of-pocket office visit. Very disappointing

De Perin conducted ACDF surgery for me. He and his team, including an otolaryngologist, could not have done a more precise, clean, professional surgery. His work is above and beyond. Just out of surgery, I had no hoarseness or unusual symptoms or issues. Standard pain but that is all. I'm home now 2 days and I feel great. Dr Perin is the ultimate professional with a beautiful bedside manner. NYU LAngone nursing staff was caring, gentle and kind. I was encouraged to stay another night if i wanted

Dr Perin, was the only surgeon out of 5 (even one from the Mayo Clinic) who was confident enough to remove a tumor from my pelvis area. All the other surgeons reported they had never removed a tumor in this location. He is wonderful, very professional, friendly and an amazing Surgeon.
