Dr. Noelle Bertelson, MD

She was our assigned post op doctor for several months. Her PA and staff loved telling me how great she was but I actually never met her the entire time, even when I had to go back to the hospital where she worked for complications. I guess I wasn’t important enough to meet my own doctor. Meh. Yeah she must be great.

Dr. Bertelson has a remarkable expertise.I was diagnonsed with a rare health condition that needs a complex sugery for treatment. Per varies sources, only few surgeons have exprience in its treatment due to its rariry. Moreover, tradional methods of its surgery associated with and/or can result in significant disability. And I was deeply concerned about impact of the sugery rather than the health condition itself..Dr. Bertelson resolved it using the least invesive method and most advanced technology with unbelievable accuracy and without residual impact/side effects Her approach is marked by remarkable courtesy, kindness, and encouragement. I highly recommend Dr. Bertelson.

Doctor Bertelson is a wonderful surgeon, and her bed side manner is terrific. She is knowledgeable, friendly and listens to patient concerns- she took the time to answer all my questions.

I was feeling so scared and helpless with the information I received from previous gastroenterologists and colorectal surgeons regarding my issues. Noelle showed she was overflowing with experience and very knowledgable about cases just like my own. She made me feel more secure in my health and guaranteed that I would be okay. I gained SO much relief after my visit with her and left hopeful. She is very intelligent and understanding of women and their bodies surrounding rectal issues. I can not thank her enough for the help, reassurance and ease she gave me.

Extremely rude staff. She lied. She won’t answer questions after I had a test done. Avoid.

Went to Dr. Bertelson for a second opinion. She asked for more tests to make sure what was going on. Surgery had some unexpected problems, but she handled them well and explained what went on. Not in a hurry, answered all questions. Very professional and the outcome was ideal.

Dr Bertelson has met or exceeded my expectations in every way. I came to her after an unpleasant experience at a hospital in Boulder, CO- I'm 26 years old and was given a colostomy due to some surprise diverticulitis. I've been told this is very uncommon for someone my age, and it was difficult for me to overcome mentally. The organization that performed the initial surgery just didn't seem to have their act together and scared me into seeking the best help I could get - I truly believe that's what I got from Noelle. She was very patient and informative with me, I was never rushed when trying to explain myself and I always felt she was really listening to what I had to say. Her team has been very responsive (~10 mins on a Saturday!) and the care I received post-surgery was great. I feel good again, and know I'll have the support I need if that changes.

Dr. Bertelson is an amazing surgeon. Her bedside manner, knowledge, and expression of compassion was way above my expectations. She went far and above for fitting me into her schedule, as well as, expediting my surgery without even having seen me as a patient prior to the situation at hand. I was highly impressed with her abilities and wouldn't hesitate to recommend her to anyone seeking excellence.

DR. Bertelson was amazing, saw DH within 48 hrs of first call. He was in extreme pain - had been for weeks. No other clinic would do anything except "next available" which was usually weeks away. This is how REAL MEDICAL CARE NEEDS TO OPERATE!! She was gentle, compassionate, answered all questions with patience and competence. Would - and HAVE recommended her to others. Dr. Bertelson is an excellent Dr. In explaining my medical condition, She answered all my questions completely and straight forward. She's very friendly and courteous. I would highly recommend her.

This doctor lacks empathy for her patients. She is rude, condescending and heartless. Would not recommend her.

I was extremely happy with Dr. Bertelson. She was not in a hurry and spent as much time with you answering questions etc. I was very happy with Dr. Bertelson. She spent as much time answering questions as you needed. Also loved that she would do minor procedures at the time instead of having you come back. I would definitely call her again for any problems!

I didn’t have any significant findings from my procedure so I can’t speak to the level of post care and advisement. However Dr. Bertelson’s demeanor, thoughtfulness and care were appropriate, accommodating and comforting leading up to the procedure itself.

Dr. bertelson is a very empathetic yet knowledgeable surgeon. Returns calls fast and is very informative and helpful, love the fact that she's straight forward. During my visit I needed imediate attention and Dr. Bertelson got straight to the point. Based off her expertise, I'd highly recommend her!

Communication and follow thru is biggest issue with Dr. Bertelson and that is why I'm would not recommend placing your health in her hands. When she informed me that I had cancer she told my about kind of surgery she recommended. She didn't tell me what stage or what kind of cancer I had. I had to ask those questions myself. I was dianosed with rectal cancer stage 1 on 2013 and had 1/2 of my rectum removed. She never told me the recovery time or what the surgery involved. I went back to work too

Dr B has a gentle friendly manner. After one office visit treatment, my hemorrhoids have stopped hurting. Thank you! I love the Lafayette office staff !

I was very pleased with the swiftness of getting an appointment. After meeting Dr. Bertelsen, we found her very caring and informative. The staff and assistants were friendly and quick to help and answer questions. Cathy J
