Excellent Spine Surgeon
Dr Kazemi is nothing short of a brilliant surgeon. I have had severe neck and arm pain for a year. I was referred to him by my primary care doctor. He examined me and my MRI and offered me surgery on my neck with cleaning out my pinched nerves. Surgery went extremely well and I am able to hold my neck up better. I wouldn't hesitate him to recommend him to anyone that needs surgery!! THANK YOU Dr Kazemi for giving me back my life

Nerve pain after surgery
Had a cage built around previous surgery and did 2 fusions.Post surgery I complained about a bruising pain in my right leg. Said it was normal. When I received a letter he was leaving, I mentioned the pain and asked to be seen.I was sent to another surgeon and waited 3 months and here I am a year later suffering severe nerve pain. He's nice presurgery, but does not care post-op.

Don't go for spine
He couldn't make a simple diagnosis and didn't even take imaging. He just made an opinion without any scientific basis. The next provider I went to took imagining and knew what was wrong even before the imaging and surgically corrected it and I didn't need narcotics anymore every day like for the 5 previous years. Maybe Kazemi knows brains but he doesn't know spines. And I would stay away if it's spine related.

Doctor I Respect
Dr Kazemi has great medical insight and quickly zeroed in on the needed plan of care for my husband. His rationale made great sense to us both. We believe Dr Kazemi is sincere in wanting what is best for his patients as we were treated with a rare professionalism that included kindness, respect and compassion.

Excellent Neurosurgeon
After many years of pain and suffering my primary doc sent me to a neurosurgeon for an opinion. He took one look at my xrays, told me I had a scoliosis deformity and told me there was only one spine surgeon he would trust to fix it - Dr Noojan Kazemi. I saw Dr Kazemi who spent a lot of time explaining my condition and gave me several options. Because my pain wasn't getting better after getting months of pain treatment and therapy - Dr Kazemi operated on me after doing more tests. The operation took hours, went well and after several weeks of recovering I am so so much better than before surgery. I can walk straight, have much less pain and best of all get to spend time with my grandkids without having to make excuses to leave beacuse of all the pain I was in. Dr Kazemi is a godsend. His nurse Henry and the whole team was a pleasure to work with. If you have a back problem I truly recommend DR Kazemi without hesitation!!

I am what most people call double jointed, which is an inaccurate way to describe a general looseness to my ligaments. This was a fun party trick when I was young, but in my 30's it started giving me problems. The worst problem was that it allowed my SI joints to "wobble" and generally be unstable. I was diagnosed with SI joint disfunction at the age of 40. By 43 I sometimes had to use a cane. I tried physical therapy and steroid injections. Physical therapy made it worse and injections barely helped, and only for a limited time. At 43 Dr. Kazemi performed a minimally invasive surgery to fuse my left SI joint. This relieved the joint pain and pain that radiated down my left leg. Shortly after I turned 44 I had my right SI joint fused. I am about 2 months out from this surgery and it helped a lot and I expect it to make my right leg feel normal once it is completely fused. I highly recommend this for "double jointed" people if they are having trouble with their SI joints.

Dr. Kazemi removed a schwannomma in the l5 area inside my spinal column, grown into my sacral sac and into the spinal nerve, intruding into sciatic opening within the nerve! It was a 10hr surgery. This lesion was the size of a golf ball and had impaired my ability to stand or walk more than one minute. I was in pain constantly. I prayed and asked God to direct the hands of this wonderful man, and he did! None of the very high risk, particularly drop foot, came thru! 100% of the pain I had is gone! Dr. Kazemi has blessed me with a new pain free lease on life, and I thank him and give God the glory! I'm 53yrs old. 8 weeks after surgery I can stand for an hour pain free, and walk 1.5 miles no problem. Glory to God! I've started riding a stationery bike at gym and other exercises. My strength is better every day and NO PAIN AT ALL.. I experienced a little numbness from surgery in buttock area an private area, but have recovered from that as well. Dr kazime has been gifted by the Lord!

With consideration to the severity of my injury along with the duration of going untreated from misdiagnosis by previous providers was less than desirable for optimal results. Dr Kazemi was very honest with me about the projected outcome expectancy and percentage of possible relief with the SI Joint Fusion surgery. I opted for surgery with Dr Noojan Kazemi knowing the maximum relief may only be up to 75% and am extremely pleased with the outcome from my 5/2019 surgery.. He and his staff have gone above and beyond to help me have a better quality of life & less pain. Thank you to Dr Kazemi, Latonya and the entire Jackson T Stephens Spine Institute Clinic staff and hospital staff at UAMS for helping me get through the SI Fusion surgery and for being compassionate with this not so patient patient!

I'm going to start off by saying that I am a very difficult patient to deal with and I expect a tremendous level of expertise when it comes to medical providers/surgeons. I did some research since my family physician knows I like to choose my specialists and came across Dr. Kazemi. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE DR KAZEMI AND HIS NURSE! Every person from the time I check in to my visits until I leave is very professional and friendly. I am 40 years old and I have had major back pain for most of my life and it continued to get worse with every passing day until it got to the point that I was excited about surgery! Dr. Kazemi took the time to understand my needs/wants and we came up with a game plan. He was very open and honest with me from the first time I met with him. He along with another team of surgeons did a spinal fusion on my lower back and it was the best thing I could have done. From the moment I woke up from surgery, that excruciating lower back pain was GONE! It was amazing!!!

I had a large tumor in the nerve at L2 of my spine, my oncologist sent me to another neurosurgeon who sent me to Dr Kazemi for 2nd opinion & the surgery if necessary because he specializes in this type procedure. I have nothing but praises for Dr Kazemi! It was obvious prior to surgery that he was diligently & thoroughly studying & preparing for my procedure. Dr Kazemi is very kind, compassionate and highly competent. He took time prior to & the day of surgery to explain the procedure to me & my family. His team of Dr’s & nurses are all exceptional. I was in hospital over the weekend so nurses said I wouldn’t see Doc but in he came Sun am excited to report that mri was clear, tumor completely gone, he checked my incision said I was doing very well & could go home. I know I was in God’s care by prayer of family, church & friends but God also guided me to His instrument of healing. I highly recommend Dr Kazemi & his team at UAMS for this type of major surgery.

At this point I am awaiting a call from the Neuro/Spine Clinic Director in hopes of resolving an error in my imaging and plan of care. Dr. Kazemi called me personally tonight and in my opinion his bedside manner is in need of attention. I am very displeased with how this matter is being addressed by Dr. Kazemi. (My initial appointment was scheduled for 11:00 AM, I did not see the doctor until 1:30 PM!)

I started having a tremendous amount of pain in my neck & back, to the point where walking or doing daily activities was painful. After several visits to the doctor, I had an MRI done & it was discovered that I had a herniated disc in my neck/bulging disc in lower back. Dr. Kazemi did my surgery Dec 22 and I feel amazing now. I no longer have all the pain, I can walk/climb stairs like before. I definitely recommend him to anyone with this problem. Very friendly and professional.

This man I said compassionate and exceptionally skilled at what he does. He healed me and gave me my ability to stand and walk pain free. Life was miserable until this surgery. But this man knew exactly what to do and I received results that far exceeded my expectations. I actually woke up from surgery pain free, excruciating pain I had lived with for 3 years up until October 31 2017.

I had a Lumbar Spinal fusion of L3, L4, L5, S1 on 12/8/15 by Dr. Kazemi. I was told that this procedure would be very painful and it was. I spent a week in the UAMS hospital followed by 2 weeks in UAMS/Baptist Health Care rehab. Rehab is at the Baptist rehab facility but it is staffed by UAMS doctors. I was able to painfully walk with a walker after the first week of rehab and with a cane after 3 weeks with a visiting therapist. Today 10/19/17, after 22 years I am pain free thanks to DR.KAZEMI!!

Dr. Kazemi is an excellent surgeon. He has a great bedside manner and a genuine care for the well being of his patients. I put off having my spinal fusion for years for fear of pain and the outcome. His confidence that he could perform my surgery safely and minimally invasive helped me make the life changing decision to finally have the surgery. I had my surgery June 2017 and have no regrets, I feel like I have my life back again.
