Dr. Nora Elfiky, DO

“Dr.” Nora Elfiky has a very curt bedside manner that presents as disdainful towards her patients. She recently undiagnosed me with Epilepsy and took me off my Seizure medications which almost killed me after only one EEG. Science behind EEGs tells us that one normal presenting EEG cannot simply out rule the diagnosis of Epilepsy without other further diagnostic testing done as well. Told me I needed psychiatric help, and because of Elfiky I was admitted to the PCU and almost lost my life months later. Now I am back on all of my anti-convulsive medications and living a normal happy life. Do not trust this woman with your life as she only cares about a paycheck and not her patients. She should not be allowed to have a license to practice medicine let alone be allowed near a hospital.

Dr. Elfiky provided outstanding medical treatment to my mom who had suffered a stroke and ran into additional complications. She is compassionate, intelligent, and was determined to figure out a plan of action to address the medical issue. Thank you for taking such good care of our mom when she was in need.

Rude and horrible

Plain and simple I love Dr. Elfiky. She knows her stuff. I had a bit of a tricky brain blood clot condition that didn’t show up on an initial CT scan. Based on her skill and persistence she suspected otherwise and ordered additional scans. Three scans later and sure enough she was right. Major vein blood clot found. A lesser doctor might have dismissed it as a simple migraine headache. She really saved the day for me and all turned out well. I would trust Dr. Elfiky with my life and in fact already have.

Dr. Elfiky contacted me about a relative who was admitted to the hospital following a stroke. She was very professional and compassionate in her attempt to understand and address the patient’s condition. She is a great addition to the stellar UC Health team and I would enthusiastically recommend her to anyone in need of neurological services.

She was assigned to me recently as I was admitted for muscle weakness and tremors in my legs. She wouldn’t let me finish a sentence AT ALL and kept interrupting when I tried to express my concerns over my health. If I had a choice, I would NEVER let this woman any where near me and be in charge of my health. You can be a doctor and still show compassion and understanding for your patients who are scared and anxious about their health instead of treating them like they are below you in every manner.
