Leaving me in pain
Telehealth
First bad experience. First, I didn't see him, but an assistant, so she had to keep calling him. I needed an ok to get off a blood thinner for 5 days in order to get needed injections in sacroiliac and L5 for pain. Injections I've had before. He would not give it, so they will not do the injections. I have been limiting taking opiates, getting by with acetaminophen and an occasional opiate, waiting for the injections. So since he won't give the ok he is basically forcing me to become an opiate addict! The pain ruins my life by not being able to do much except short strolls using a cane. I explained the difference between living and being alive and said being alive isn't enough! I need those injections in in order to get out and LIVE! Didn't matter to him. Would not give the ok. I am angry beyond words. So it's opiates now big time.

Very good. Received and reviewed historic test results. Provided quick concise recommendation on course of action for my wife. Coordinates with heart hospital enabling Telehealth consultation and follow-up beyond treatment, likely saving multiple trips to ABQ.

Dr Ratliff is the best cardiologist Ive seen. He is very thorough, checks the boxes and has exceptional interpersonal skills. What sets him apart is that in addition to the aforementioned, he is also intuitive and instinctual. Sometimes the cause of the problem is not plainly evident, and only a caring and tenacious doctor such as Dr Ratliff will find a solution.

Dr. Ratliff has been my primary Cardiologist for several years. During that time he has managed my medications, heart procedures and referrals to the Heart Hospital of ABQ for a Pacemaker/ defibrillator and ablation procedure. I find him to be an excellent listener a knowledgeable professional and a compassionate human being. He's the best cardiologist I've seen. I like him, trust him, and give him my highest recommendation. His staff is great too.

Dr Ratliff is a very good Dr at first I thought he wasn't going to help me cause I needed to see a specialist out of state and my insurance was giving me such a hard time I just figured you didn't want to deal with it but little did I know he really went out on a limb for me he appealed it and appealed it and took it all the way to the governor to get me to that specialist. He still follows up with me..I would highly recommend him. He's very professional

Dr. Ratliff is easy to talk to, has an amazing bedside manner, and explains things in ways that are easy to understand. I think what I like best is that, when I was having problems that others put down to my imagination, Dr. Ratliff listened. The end result was that I was sent to the NMHI and had further surgery, which resolved the issues I was going through.
