Dr. Nsangou Ghogomu, MD

Dr. Ghogomu performed the surgery to fix the CSF leak that caused meningitis. He is the best doctor I have ever worked with. He answered ALL my pointy questions, never made me feel rushed, and even threw in a little comedic relief when required. I wish we could clone him and have one of him working in every area of medicine. I cannot say enough good things about him except that I feel so privileged to have been treated by him. You will never find a better surgeon or doctor.

Dr. Ghogomu was very thorough, explaining everything to me in a way i could understand and was extremely patient with me even though i was a nervous wreck. He is highly skilled and my surgery went great. I couldnt be more pleased having such a bright doctor on my side. Also his staff was phenomenal! I would highly recommend him to anyone.

I am very blessed to have Dr. Ghogomu as my Otolaryngologist; specifically sinus surgeon in my case. I had an extremely difficult case. There were other Doctors that Informed me on numerous occasions that turned me down- stating they could not help my case as surgery would not be successful and my case was “too difficult”. They even Observed my polyps growing to the point where they were visible in my nose. Dr. Ghogomu was the only Doctor who stepped up to help me, look into my case, and rescued me with surgery. From the first phone call, a few e-mails back and forth, and follow up with pre- op procedures and appointments, he gave me the courage and reassurance that I needed through my trust in him, and knowing I would be in good hands, to go forward with surgery. Six months post surgery my quality of life because of Dr. Ghogomu is great! He continues to be invested in my plan of care. He is extremely professional, approachable, friendly, and compassionate. I highly recommend.

Dr. Ghogomu is, in my opinion, talented in 3 uniquely different areas. First and foremost, he is a master of his craft in fixing nasal issues. I had a deviated septum that severely impacted the way I breathed, smelled, even tasted food. Since surgery, I use a lot less hot sauce on my food and can peacefully (and quietly) sleep at night. This surgery also improved my allergies significantly! Second, he's very personable. This goes a long way for me as I don't feel comfortable letting just anyone inside of my face. Last, but not least, he's extremely intelligent and knowledgeable about his area of expertise. Easily answered all my questions and alleviated all my concerns before surgery. Dr. Ghogomu was my surgeon for a complete thyroidectomy. He was kind, respectful, explained everything clearly and, most importantly, was highly skilled. My biggest concern was my vocal cords and the nerve for swallowing, but I didn't have any issues with these following the surgery. I highly recommend him!

Fantastic head and neck surgeon

This was my 4th Sinus Surgery and I must say, MY BEST! Dr. Ghogomu gave me great confidence. All the reasons I put off having another surgery were addressed and his professionalism put me at ease. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing an ENT Surgeon!

Dr. Ghogomu is an excellent doctor. He throughly explained everything to me. I was comfortable with the surgery that he performed. I recovered quickly and experienced very little pain after the surgery. I did not require any pain medication. I would recommend him to anyone. Thanks, Dr. Ghogomu.

He explains everything so that I 100% understand it. He is very easy to talk to and knows what he is doing! I went to him for my nasal polyps and he removed them and in the first time in forever I can smell and breathe through my nose. He gave me everything I needed for recovery and was easy to get a hold of. I am going to him to remove my tonsils and I recommend him over every other doctor I have been to. By far he is my favorite!

My experience with Ghogomu was better then I could have ever expected. I came in with a severe sinus infection. I was very worried at the time due to the length and severity of the pain, but the moment he started examining me, my worries decreased by the minute. His confidence/knowledge of the situation was phenomenal, plus the way he went about explaining step by step how the whole procedure was going to go made be very comfortable. If I ever hear anyone say "sinus problem" I just say Ghogomu!

Dr. Ghogomu was absolutely amazing! Unfortunately I have become a bit of an expert after having many surgeries, including bi-lateral mastectomy. I found Dr. Ghogomu to be thorough, thoughtful, and extremely caring. He took his time to explain the surgery, answer all of my questions, listened to my concerns and maintained this demeanor throughout the entire process, including follow up care. I highly recommend him and find him to be talented and skilled as well as authentically caring and kind.

Sometimes, you fall into the right hands when you need to the most. I had thyroid cancer; I just wanted I gone. Several of my Kaiser docs are younger than me. I'm almost 60, and many people are younger. When I first met Dr. Ghogomu, he was wearing colorful striped socks. It made me laugh; I was at ease. Dr. G I an excellent surgeon. He removed the cancer. I slept well the first day with minimal pain. Over the next two weeks, there was no pain. I happily returned to work. Thank u, Dr. G

The doctor spent a very small amount of time and would not listen. Already had his mind made up of what was causing my issues and would not listen to my past experiences. Would not recommend this doctor at all.
