Dr. Ofelia Balta, MD

I was a patient at this facility until they decided to terminate me for no just cause and leave me without healthcare for the next three months. This is the current time frame for a new patient appointment at most other local facilities with a lot of physicians and nurses leaving the field these days. Their excuse for termination was their “cross-coverage arrangement what ever that means. It’s obvious patient care is not their top priority. On multiple occasions while I was a patient there it took three days of multiple phone calls to try to get through to the office for both my wife and myself. At the end for 2024 they lost 3 of their nurse practitioners. I was told by one of them that they were all getting ready to quit at the end of the year were all abruptly fired just before their last day of work. Legally doctors must continue treating patients for 30 days after a termination these people worked is a way that 11 days passed before I received the letter with no way to get back in.

My husband and I have been seeing Jodi for over 3 years.... She has gone above and beyond any treatment we have received anywhere.... She treats her patients like family. She is caring and everywhere I speak her name, she has an excellent reputation. Thank you Jodi!!!!

Dr. Balta is fine, but her NPs…. One NP I saw failed to get back to me on lab results for a week after she received them, leaving me to suffer that much longer. Went to another NP about issues with a specialist hoping for some objective input and advice on a very painful and intolerable condition that has me so profoundly depressed and desperate and for which the specialist was of no help. Just needed to talk about this issue with someone knowledgeable so that I could better approach my current specialist or new specialist she might refer me to. When I began to describe what was going on with the specialist, the NP snapped at me that we did not have time for that and to just tell her what she could do for me, e.g. a referral. Never had any medical practitioner lash out at me like that and it was the last thing I needed given the toll this disease has taken on me. A little empathy and 5 minutes of listening would have meant so much as opposed to treating me like a waste of time.

I've been going to Dr Balta for hormone treatment since 2018. She is very detailed and knowledgeable. I highly recommend

Had made an appt before new year and called to cancel because my home went under contract. A follow up was made which I wasn't aware of. Just tried getting another appointment and the office manager addimitely and rudely turned us away even after driving over and speaking to them directly as well as offering to pay for the missed appt that I called to cancel. This was a true shock and contrary to what they are there for
