Dr Zikel has done 2 surg for me turned out great
I have always sang Dr. Zikel's praise's after having my fusion in 2013. Then again in 2015 when my arthritis made it a little crowded around my spine and we did a laminectomy. I still have full motion of my neck because of how great the fusion was. Unfortunately because I waited so long to get treatment in the first place I have nerve damage. But Dr. Zikel Did an amazing job fixing the main problem and brought a lot of relief to that area. Moral to the story don't wait too long to fix your problem, you might end up with a life time of regret.

I came to Dr. Zikel for a second opinion on a lumbar fusion. He answered all my questions satisfactorily, listened to my concerns and treated me like a person. I never felt rushed and I felt he cared about my problems. He didn't rush me through the visit because he wasn't going to be my surgeon. If I didn't already have one, I would absolutely trust him with my back! Highly recommended.

Dr. Zikel did an excellent job on my cervical fusion. I would recommend him in an instant for anyone needing the same treatment. My complaint and one that I've heard widely from patients & nursing staff: He is TERRIBLE at pain management! Whether fear of malpractice lawsuits or federal oversight, whether he has never endured the same level of pain or simply has a sadistic twist he is doing his patients a disservice by not making them more comfortable post-op. Almost bad enough to deduct 2 stars.

Extremely knowledgable surgeon! Dr Zikel takes time to explain the diagnosis and the options for treatment starting with conservative all the way to last resort. He is a doc with integrity. I trust him 100%. If he can't fix it, nobody can. I highly recommend him for anyone with spine issues. He is the best!
