Dr. Okechukwu Iwu, MB BS

Dr. Iwu is IRREPLACEABLE in my life. He was MORE than a doctor, he was a great friend. He was my PCP 4 over 12+ yrs, when I relocated 2MN on death's door @25, it was his continuous care tht brought me back 2 health &determined a diagnosis. Since he left it's been a NIGHTMARE @Essentia. The kindness&consideration is null &void. Post "audit" they elevated CNP's 2the status of "PCP's" 2 absorb the 35k patient-load tht Dr. Iwu carried (&supposition reigns supreme). Many are devoid of the sort of empathy, kindness, &consideration tht Dr. Iwu is/was known 4... I can guarantee tht if he was still present I wldn't be treated the way I hve been of recent... Left bedridden, awaiting intervention... Paranoia & the machine-like processing of patients, devoid of connection, seems 2b the edict & general theme (@least in Internal Med).. Every time I search 4 him&find tht he's still listed/connected2Essentia, my heart breaks a little. He was the soul &human element behind the hospital.

Dr. Iwu is very thorough and sensitive to your needs.

I wish I knew where he went. Best Dr I've had little upset that he's gone.

I am a 70 year old woman and I finally found a doctor that stuck with me till he figgured out the root of my problem. He is the finest doctor I've ever had. I am sad to see him go. I hope he stays in the area and will again offer excellent health care. I will be looking for him. R.K. Smith

I have had Dr Iwu as my Dr for many years now. I just learned today that he left Essentia. He was the best Dr I have ever had. He listened when no other Drs did and he ran tests no one else would. He spent the time to figure out what was wrong. I would like to know where he went to.

I've seen Dr Iwu for nearly 6 years. He listens to his patients to find out their concerns about the medicatin they are taking. He shows that he really cares about the healtg of the individual.

I now have an amazing Dr who has actually heard me, weighed my options and taken the time to assess my overall health. I couldn't be more grateful for his attention to detail and actually HEARing me!

Outstanding Doc. I have a great health partnership with him- he has taken time to get to know me, and my lifestyle. I leave each visit with better understanding of what I can do to improve and manage my health in a way I can be successful. Recently moved to the Twin Cities, but still drive back to see him. Highly recommend.

I can't say enough about this wonderful man! If you are looking for a top-shelf doctor, he's the one! A word of advice, however- book an appointment now.He is booked months in advance but he is WELL worth the wait!!

I love going to Dr. Iwu. He is thorough and has a great bedside manner. I have many health issues and he makes sure to monitor them all. I would trust him with all of my family members.
