Great experience
I read all of the reviews before my appointment and was a little nervous. But she was actually great in my opinion. She listened to my concerns, looked at all of my pictures of symptoms, and I didn’t feel rushed at all. I think some people may take her calm and quiet demeanor the wrong way. She is to the point, but if you ask her questions, she will explain it thoroughly. I didn’t feel like any of my questions were stupid. she validated all of my concerns. and even discussed my cardiology issues with me and encouraged me to get a second opinion. I appreciated that because my cardiologist was dismissive. She ordered further testing and remade referrals. I was very satisfied and I’m glad I didn’t listen to these reviews.

Very caring Dr. and staff
I have a son with developmental disabilities who is seeing Dr O. For gout. Everyone in the office is very kind and patient with us. Often doctors tend to dismiss what we try to tell them about his needs. There, I felt like he was treated successfully and with dignity.

Took the Time to Listen and Understand My Concerns
I recently switched from a practice in Asheville to Advent Health Rheumatology. My experience with Dr Onaodowan was like a breath of fresh air. She listened to my concerns and questions. I left the appointment feeling heard and assured that I made the right decision.

Rude! Dismissive!
I was recently referred to Dr. Onaodawan after my rheumatologist retired from the same practice. I had my first and ONLY appointment with her recently. I found her to be rude, dismissive, and she barely made eye contact. Her exam was very cursory, and she ignored my discomfort, and when she told me to mimic her movements she spoke as if she were a flight attendant reciting the exits. I’ve been treated for Lupus with organ involvement for decades at top facilities, with it being in my records that Lupus caused organ damage, etc. Dr. Onaodawan dismissed previous diagnoses. Really??? Look for the exits, people. Find someone else!

Horrible
DO NOT go to this lady. I’ve NEVER been treated the way she treated me. Didn’t even introduce herself when she walked in the door. Wouldn’t listen to anything I said. My urine came back with UTI and she refused to RX an antibiotic, even though she’s the one who ordered the urine test. Had to wait days to get into my primary doctor. DO NOT DO NOT go to her

I just had the best experience with Dr. Onajite Onaodowan In your rheumatology department! She is professional, patient, empathetic, and thinks outside of the box. I have had a terrible pain in my right leg for almost a year and a 1/2. I have seen at least a dozen doctors from all over North Carolina and Chicago. She is the only one who truly listened to my symptoms and gave me a completely different diagnosis. And she it seems was right! Thank you Dr. Onaodowan for your patience and expertise! And thank you Advent Health for hiring a young, brilliant, and innovative doctor! I cannot recommend her highly enough!

Very similar to all the reviews I have read. She did not even introduce herself when she walked into the room. Seemed bothered when I asked for her opinion on my condition and seemed to order tests for things I know I do not have just to placate me. Very dismissive, when I tried to speak to her about my symptoms, she quickly said that she had read my chart, as though my further explanation was not necessary. From the moment she walked in the room I was treated as though I had some how offended her and was bothering her at her place of work. She also tried to dismiss some of my issues as symptoms of my depression and PTSD. I have never felt like I had wasted more time, money or energy as I have with this doctor. I left not helped, and upset. Would never recommend her.

For the past two years, I have suffered through non-stop shoulder, back, joint and muscle pain. I went to every doctor (primary care, orthopedic surgeon, spine specialist etc.). No one could find a reason for any of it. Dr. Onaodowan sent me for several blood tests. I honestly put this off for about a month. Low and behold, I have low vitamin D levels. Looking that up, it fits my symptoms exactly. I'm very hopefully being on large dose Vitamin D is going to help me now. Dr. O is a life saver.

I went to this doctor for a second opinion after worsening health problems. She was rude and dismissive and did not address my concerns. She told me my diagnosis was what my past doctor had diagnosed me with, and read to me about the diagnosis from a pamphlet. She indicated mental health assistance and losing weight was what would help me. i have since been diagnosed with an autoimmune disorder, and I went through undue pain and decrease in wellbeing due to her not addressing my concerns.

Very abrupt.Seems bothered by my presence but no eye contact with me when walking in the room to even start to feel that way.My pain, didn't matter, went by old testing and nothing I said really mattered unless shed seen it there in front of her.I was invisible. No prescriptions necessary because as a chronic pain patient with out any further looking into why,I just get past on to another party. Oh or more injections by pain management. If you are actually looking for help, wrong person.

First appointment was excellent. Dr. Onaodowan introduced herself politely upon entering the exam room. Dr. Onaodowan proceeded conscientiously answering every question with a comprehensive and understandable explanation. She was very patient with my questioning and listened to my viewpoint. Her manner was courteous and professional. I felt confident in her explanations and subsequent directions. :)

Agree w/all reviews. She is abrupt, doesn't listen, and makes you feel like you're infringing on her time. She ran 3 tests, all came out fine, wanted to put me a med anyway. When I said no, she rudely asked me why not? I told her I had been feeling better and wanted to see what happened, and that she had nothing to base the diagnosis on. She answered me, I'll see you in three months or when the pain gets worse. Autoimmune doc agreed that she had no basis for the med No, you will not see me!!

I read the previous reviews, but went into my appointment with an open mind. Unfortunately, I will have to agree with prior reviews. Dr. Onaodowan does NOT have any type of bedside manner. She was very rude during my entire visit. Very unprofessional! She was curt with her responses to questions and basically didn't want to be bothered by my concerns, in fact, dismissing most of them. I would NOT recommend

Poor bedside manner, had an attitude upon entering room...went off of previous test results from a year ago with worsening symptoms...stated she can not help me and its not based off of how or what I feel, its what she sees.. guess I continue to live in pain!! Very disappointed had no care at all..

I have been going to this Rheumatology Group for years for my Fibromyalgia. Couldn’t get an appointment with Dr Ingraham so they made one with her. The second she walked in the door she told me they don’t see Fibro patients. She was rude. Didn’t care to hear anything about me. And made me feel like a nucience. I wouldn’t recommend going to her at all. No bedside manner in the slightest.
