Dr. Orhan Ilercil, MD

' We were sent to him because my husband’s surgeon moved out of state. Dr. Ilercil would ask me a question then shush me, several times before I told him to quit asking question if he didn’t want me to answer. Threw my husband’s surgeon under the bus by stating it was shotty work. My husband would not be alive if it wasn’t for the previous surgeon. We ended up being sent to UMMC, ended up cancelling that appointment and going out of state to the original surgeon whom saved my husbands life.

After understanding the circumstances better, I would like to retract the last review leaving only 2 stars and condemning commentary. Dr. Ilercil saved my life in 2015 giving me my best chance at life. He continues to impress me with his expertise and caring nature. I know that he truly has my back and would highly recommend him and his wonderful staff to anyone needing his specialty.

I had to have brain surgery a year ago. I was terrified but he answered all my questions, had an awesome bedside manner, and I felt very comfortable with him performing the surgery. He did a great job and I am so thankful to have met him. He has been a God send to not just me but my family. I feel like he’s part of my family.

On July 23 ,2018 at 10:45 am, both me ,my wife, and mother in law was involved in an automobile accident where an 80 year old Male with pace maker was pulling an horse trailer without any tail lights or signals in Sebastopol , Mississippi . The old man got into a turning lane designated for turning only for school ,and came to a complete stop. As my wife proceeded to pass him driving the speed limit we was struck twice by this old man totaling our vehicle. However , after going to see my primary care doctor Krystal Boyette ,she is also an excellent doctor, and being treated in Neshoba County, she referred me to see Dr. Ohran Ilercil at Mississippi Brain Spine ,in Flowood , Mississippi, after evaluating me . He performed two surgeries on me . He is a God sent ,very nice , knowledgeable, caring and understanding person. He is beyond excellent in what he does. His staff is also very nice and treat you like family. I have no complaints about Dr. Orhan ilercil .

I have been seeing Dr. Irecil for a year and he is awsome and caring. I have had several surgeries with him. I can not describe him any other way. He takes the time to understand his patient and does everthing in his power to help and understand his patients. I finally encouraged my husband to give Dr. Irecil a try and he was at the point of giving up because after decades of being in severe pain and hearing multiple Dr's tell him there is nothing they could help him with and giving him the run around Dr Irecil had him diagnosed and surgery scheduled. He is recovering and doing much better. Dr. Irecil and his staff are very compationate and I would not go to anyone else. In this day and time it is hard to find a doctore that cares like Dr. Irecil does! I recommend him all the time to people.

One of the best brain and spine Dr in the Jackson area. I had an Anterior Cervical Discectomy done by Dr. ILercil. Believe me when I tell you this Dr has gifted hands. Hands down the best!! and his staff treated me like family with love and compassion from the heart that was so real that it cannot be explained. Thank you Dr. ILercil and your staff or shell I say thank you my SECOND FAMILY. I am so grateful to have you all in my life.

This report is 10 days post surgery, Dr. Ilercil performed surgery on C3-C7, with rod, screws and two fusions. So far all is well. I have lived in pain for 11 years, this was a repeat and corrective surgery, I finally had to try again. Dr. Ilercil and staff has been the best. My left side was so damaged and now my foot is picking up and not dragging, left arm pain is steadily improving. Currently I am walking 1.4 miles daily, without stumbling or falling. Optimistic and pray healing continue

My husband was admitted to the hospital the Monday before Thanksgiving with headaches. We were told that it was bleeding on the brain and swelling. After seeing Dr. Illercil the next day we found out that he had 2 tumors that needed to be removed. He was very good and done a lot of testing to makes sure what he was getting into. He removed the tumors the day after Thanksgiving and let us know that they were Mastic tumors. We love Dr. Illercil and would recommend him to anyone.

I was in serious pain and looking for relief. Dr. Orhan agreed to see me on the same day (2 hours) the request for an appointment was made. He accepted my horrible (military) insurance and scheduled my needed surgery for 2 days later. He is very concerned about people, something that is not as prevalent in society today. This is my 4th brain surgery but the 1st with Dr. I. He is an awesome doctor, very caring, and on top of it all , he is a Christian. I was having daily headaches and old neurosurgeon said I was fine and my brain tumors weren't growing. Seeked new neurosurgeon, and found Dr. I. i needed immediate surgery to remove brain tumor and radiation to get the other 2. Dr. I was awesome!

He is very professional with his patients, he has one of the best bed side manners I haven't seen in a long time. He will answer all your questions & talk as long as you need him to.

I was very pleased with his bedside manner. He explained the surgery that I needed and I am scheduled to have neck surgery in about three weeks ,maybe in January .

I went to the E.R.. They scheduled for me to see Dr.Ilercil the next day. Upon seeing him he recognized that my issue was severe enough to warrant surgery. The next day he performed the surgery (Lumbar Herniated Disc) and I went home that night being able to stand up straight for the first time in two weeks. Excellent doctor and I would recommend him to anyone!

After walking bent over for 2 years, Dr. Ilercil knew exactly what needed to happen. He performed an anterior and posterior fusion to 3 vertebrae. I immediately regained use of my left leg. I'm so proud of my posture and even lost 33 lbs. on my follow up appt. he even remembered our first conversation. His sincere care for my wellbeing gave me back my self confidence. He gave me a better body and better life. I'm so thankful for his genuine care. Really the best surgeon I've ever known.

Dr. Ilercil is impressive. Highly attentive and understanding, kind and compassionate. Strives for conservative treatment, and when necessary excels at surgery and follow-up.

Found the problem fixed it, nice guy, ladies think he is handsome.

He is a conservative doctor. Even though he is a neurosurgeon, he is not quick to want to perform surgery if not needed.
