Dr. Osama Ahmed, MD

Dr. Ahmed literally gave me my life back. When I met quality of life was abysmal. I had excruciating chronic pain because my L4 and disc were so unaligned. To add insult to injury I didn’t want to have surgery. Dr. Ahmed’s sincerity, attentiveness, professionalism, and confidence was the assurance I needed. His approach to patient care is beyond reproach. He always made me feel I had his undivided attention and really listened to my concerns as a patient, which isn’t always the experience I have with physicians. The information provided about my surgery was thorough and easy to understand. His staff was absolutely wonderful, personable, professional, prompt, and knowledgeable. Lastly, the hospital where Dr. Ahmed performed the surgery was the hospital to rival all hospitals. From the moment we walked in the door to the moment they rolled me out the door, I felt like every single person we encountered treated me and my family like we were members of their own families. Even the food was delicious. Oh yeah, he caters to cowards too!! The day of the surgery, I was so comfortable and relaxed. His medical team came in one at a time to introduce themselves and explain their role in my surgery. They also made sure that the worst parts of my surgery prep was done AFTER I went to sleep, lol. I’m almost three weeks out from surgery and I can’t remember the last time I felt as good as I do now, and I still have a lot of rehab in front of me that’s only going to make me feel better and stronger. If you have any back issues and don’t want better than the rest, but the BEST of the best, Dr. Osama Ahmed is the one! THANK YOU, Dr. Ahmed and team. The thought of back surgery frightens me as well as the complications that “might” occur. Then I met with Dr. Ahmed and his team, it is the best decision I have made. The surgery went beautiful and I have healed well. Dr. Ahmed is talented and took wonderful care of me. I recently met with him about another situation and he could tell I was very nervous but once he smiled and told me “I got you” I was relieved. Planning my second procedure with him now.

I took my brother in to see Dr. Ahmed, as he just moved into the area. My brother has a shunt in his brain, and a cyst. Because of recent changes and further decline with his memory, I wanted to make sure the shunt had the correct setting. I also wanted a new neurosurgeon to keep an eye on his cyst. I told Dr. Ahmed his nurse had scanned the last 5-6 years of his records into their system, but he said he doesn't have time to look at records. After I told him about the cyst, he took 30 seconds to look at it, then said, I wouldn't worry about it. He ignored me repeatedly when I asked him about the shunt setting.Doctor Ahmed spent about 3 min. on his appointment after waiting over 2 hours to be seen. He was extremely rude, arrogant, and rushed. I wouldn't bring my brother back to see this hack who only seems to want to do surgeries. I wouldn't recommend him to anyone who wants compassionate and outstanding care from a neurosurgeon. He seems borderline incompetent, and totally uncaring.

He seems borderline incompetent, uncaring, and is very rushed. Not any qualities to look for in any doctor, especially a surgeon.

He's called the miracle doctor,He did an a amazing job,on my L-3 and L-4,I'm still recovering, just after 4 days,I'm feeling pretty good so far,one thing no more pain running down my leg,or knumbness.Dr Amhed,is awesome on what he does!!! Thank you,much!!!

I have had back problems since I was 16 .I had back and leg pain sometimes reaching pain levels of 10 . I was barely able to walk. I visited several surgeons but no one could tell me exactly what was going on . I had physical therapy , pain management , and injections nothing worked. It took Dr. Ahmed a few minutes to figure out the problem. He explained everything in great detail. We scheduled the surgery and everything went well. He is a amazing doctor explained the surgery in terms I could understand. He was very caring and took the time to listen to all of my concerns never felt rushed. His staff is wonderful. The entire staff is attentive, caring, professional, thorough, & results-oriented. Once able to get in, Dr Ahmed & his team diagnosed my condition; developed a treatment plan; and executed the plan swiftly & successfully. I am thrilled to be back to my healthy, physically-active 76 year-self one month after surgery.

For a first time appointment we were beyond impressed with Dr. Ahmed and his staff. Dr. Ahmed explained everything to us and made us feel very comfortable with his plan on treatment for my daughter. My husband fell and damaged several vertebrae in his back one year ago this month. We went to Dr. Osama Ahmed. He was such a warm and friendly doctor. We were immediately at ease. He operated on my husband in January, 2020. My husband is now walking without a walker or any assistance. We feel Dr. Ahmed is a miracle worker!

I recently had Dr Ahmed do surgery on my spine. Before the surgery, I had pain for over a year. After the surgery, I had almost no pain after just a few weeks. His staff is wonderful. I would recommend Dr. Ahmed to anyone needing surgery on their back. He is an absolutely amazing Dr. All my pain is nearly gone now after a month of recovery. I am able to walk and do exercises. I was not able to do any of those things for over a year. Thank you so very much for your help.

Dr. Ahmed has been amazing from the beginning. I had a lumbar laminectomy and fusion of L4 through S1 with Dr. Ahmed. This surgery was done at the Northeast Methodist hospital in Live Oak, Texas. His staff in his clinic as well as the staff at the hospital were and are amazing! Recovery after surgery was tough, as expected and explained by Dr. Ahmed, in the beginning, but I am three weeks out and I am getting better every day! I highly recommend Dr. Ahmed if you are looking for a neurosurgeon.

Dr. Ahmed diagnosed my severe facial pain as trigeminal neuralgia. He took the time to listen to me and answer all my questions. I have been pain free since he performed the surgery. He and his staff are great.

I herniated my L5 S1 and it was pushing on my spinal cord and nerves. Dr Ahmed was extremely helpful and accommodating. I was in extreme pain! He was able to come up with a minimally invasive plan. After my surgery I woke up almost zero pain and a tiny scar! Would recommend him and his super helpful staff any day!

My elderly dad underwent a lumbar laminectomy and fusion with no complications and outstanding results. Dr. Ahmed is as good in the clinic as he obviously is in the OR. Leaves you feeling completely confident and thoroughly managed. Every issue was discussed and all answers well understood. Would strongly recommend Dr. Ahmed to anyone. He's one of the best surgeons we've ever met.

Dr. Ahmed operated on my neck he fused C3 - C6, he explained everything in detail of what he was going to do while performing the surgery. He gave instructions of what I should and shouldn't do after the surgery. I had very little pain after the surgery and feel I am healing very quick. Dr. Ahmed is a skilled Neurosurgeon with a great bed side manner.
