Excellent GI doctor
Dr Bulut helped my son with his constipation issues. She was able to narrow down the cause and referred me to the motility provider at PCH, Dr Medina who was able to diagnose and treat his symptoms. My son is no longer suffering because of the care from these amazing providers at PCH.

Dr Bulut did my daughter’s colonoscopy and provided excellent care and treatments while in the hospital for UC. She was kind and had good advice to help with her iron deficiency.

Misdiagnosed my child
Dr. Balut promised to help figure out what was wrong with my child, but after one test she diagnosed him with cyclic vomiting syndrome. I told her that this was not correct - he didn’t have the right symptoms and I had done months of research on the topic. She refused to hear me out and refused to discuss the matter further. I continued to research and contacted another doctor at children’s. It turned out, as I suspected, my son had a severe case of slipping rib syndrome which required surgery and cured his vomiting. Parents: be your child’s advocate. Just because someone has a degree does not make them an expert on YOUR child. Dr. Balut deserves zero stars for her cold bedside manner, lack of concern and refusal to listen to a mother who clearly knows her child.

Terrible Service
My 16 year old daughter was seen in April for an ER visit that diagnosed SMAS on April 12th. I gave paper work to have filled out for a chronic medical condition for school. Nine days later, I stopped by to get the paperwork and they can’t find it. The staff lost the paper work. In the mean time we had a barium test that suggests she is normal and doesn’t have SMAS. She is still in pain, now going on 40 days. We know this is a difficult diagnosis to confirm. I find out she won’t fill out the paperwork for a chronic medical condition, given the barium results. My daughter is still symptomatic for SMAS. She still has gastric pain and suggested her PCP fill it out. If she had done her job we would already have had it filled out. Completely incompetent and disregarded her symptoms. They have yet to respond to an email I sent on May 4th.

Chronic Pain Undiagnosed. – May 11, 2022

I am so glad I got a second opinion from another specialist. Dr Bulut diagnosed my child with ulcerative colitis. She explained to me that there was nothing I could but have him on life long medication. She used scared tactics when I told her that I wanted a second opinion. Taking away my son and making sure he take this medication. Told me that diet won't help him. The medication suppresses he immune system, would still make him sick, still suffering, and not guarentee he won't lose his colon. I got a second opinion with another specialist. My son is on a gluten free no lactose diet now. And he is drinking ginger root. His bleeding stopped. Pain is gone. He is growing. No more diarrhea. Inflammation in his stomach is gone. He gets regular blood drawn to make sure his ulcerative colitis is in check. He is not suffering anymore. Doesn't get sick all the time. I'm disappointed with the lack of ambition for Natural resources. Ginger helped my son look it up

Dr. Bulut was kind and courtaeous in helping me understand my child's diagnosis. She was very thorough during our visits. She also took the time to answer all my questions as well as my child's questions. I would highly recommend her!

My daughter saw her one time and I was told that she needed to see a psychiatrist. Just because her tests came back normal, it must be in her head. Took my daughter to another doctor who diagnosed her with something. Imagine that!
