Dr. Pamela Smith, MD

Dr. Smith was the ONLY medical professional who actually listened to my complaints about the lump in my thigh. I have no doubt that without her knowledge and skills I would not be alive today.

A family member was scheduled with this group for a follow up visit from a recent stay in the ICU. The doctor did not deem it important to see him- only a nurse practitioner saw him who did not deem it important to know any history on him nor did she ask. She dictated that he would be placed on Coumadin, even when they explained he had used Coumadin following a brain aneurysm and it hospitalized him for over a month- no alternative options were provided, no discussion occurred, they just said “we won’t see you again”. As you can see they care NOTHING about the patient. Guaranteed they will bill for that total lack of patient care. Will be contacting the insurance company to lodge a formal complaint as well as Medicare. Do yourself a favor, find a Specialist from Louisville in the Baptist East Network that comes to Elizabethtown, your life just might depend on it!

Loves to tests, but never seems to arrive at a diagnosis even when I told her my diagnosis on first visit. Tests for hemolytic anemia previously done by another hematologist with those results presented to her. In the meantime, my hemoglobin was getting lower. One lab result was a “critical value” but I received no information from her. I saw it on the patient portal lab results. I decided to change to a less convenient Louisville hematologist, but he’s doing his job without repeating the same tests for the third time. And “no, Dr. Smith. I didn’t need a bone marrow biopsy!” Do yourself a favor—find someone who gives a damn about her patients.

After I was placed in a room, I was forgotten for over an hour.

I do not trust this Dr's opinion. I feel that dr. Smith is unprepared for patient visits. I feel as if dr. Smith doesn't tell me everything I need to know. I Had an obviously abnormal blood test result that she didn't even seem to know anything about. I require a higher standard of care. I will NOT be going back to see this doctor.
