Felt Rushed
I am a new patient and was pretty nervous about this visit. After waiting for an HOUR I was finally called into the office. I had in my head what I wanted to say, but when I got there it all went out the window. When I started to tell him my symptoms, one by one right after another, he said 'no', 'no', etc. to each and every symptom I stated. After a few I just stopped. To me he sounded like he was dismissing my concerns and that I was wasting his time. He said it should be nothing to worry about because I did not have certain symptoms... and I said, 'no, I told you that I had those symptoms.' I really hope this is not the start of something and this Dr. did nothing. He said because my platelets were fine that being sick is not possible. He recommended I see a dermatologist for my intermittent purpura and petechiae. There are many causes for purpura and petechiae and he was not the least bit interested in finding out what it may be.

Dr. Kumar is kind and compassionate. Treats patients as he would his family members, takes time to listen, and completely explains using terminology I can understand. He and his staff make me feel comfortable during my office visits. My surgeon highly recommended Dr. Kumar. I am pleased with his choice and would also recommend to others.

I've seen Dr Kumar for years, for hematology. He is one of the kindest, most caring doctors a person could ever want. He never forgets a face, and addresses all of his patients when he sees them, whether there for treatment, or there to see him. He explains everything very thoroughly, spends however much time is needed to address any concerns, and on two occasions, addressed concerns that had nothing to do with hematology - he's that great of a doctor. I would recommend Dr Kumar 100/100!!
