I am so very disappointed and discouraged by the lack of empathy, treatment in general, and overall attitude of this "doctor". My wife's ulcerative colitis has had a horrible flare for the last month and Sharma did next to nothing to help her. When we finally were able to get in to see a fantastic doctor in Tacoma, they were shocked at the level of non-treatment and inability to help calm her symptoms. His basic approach was to 'just get through it'. She is under the care of a great doctor now.

15 Years ago Dr. Sharma saved my life and for that I will be forever grateful. My Esophagus exploded and required his caring/professional touch. After a very delicate procedure performed by a skilled Physician I was able to leave the hospital. Dr. Sharma is a truly good and caring friend. My personnel GP Dr. Gross had told my Wife that I would not be leaving the hospital alive, Dr. Sharma and I thought differently.

Beware of this doctor! He does not read the patient file, tried to send me for the same lab tests twice and didn't look at my medical history. He will ask you a question and then cut you off. He doesn't keep to his schedule keeping his patients waiting past their appointment time. On two occasions I waited over 2 hours . After his consultation I met with other doctors who told me he is known in the GI community for his incompetence, shoddy medical diagnosis, and inattention patient med history.

DO NOT use this doctor for any procedures!!!! I had gone in for a colonoscopy which turned into a total nightmare. I should have suspected something when he was an hour and a half late getting started with the procedure. I was given a couple different injections to put me under for the procedure which didn't work. The doctor went ahead anyway with the procedure knowing fully well I was awake. It was pure torture and one of the most painful experiences I've yet to experience.

He doesn't do a good job listening to the patents; his bedside manner is very brusque and coarse. As can happen with any doctor who performs surgery, you may find waits up to 2 hours without any office notification. (happened twice to me...) Very friendly staff, but it doesn't make up for the doctor or the feeling I am a number not a person.

I have had excellent care from Dr. Sharma through the last 16 years. He has treated me through a complicated, potentially fatal disease. I trust him explicitly. If he doesn't know the answer, he uses his extensive resources to find the answers. He is a very caring and compassionate doctor.
