Fantastic surgeon
I met Dr Ram back in July of 2024 and he was super. I have had colorectal issues for 19 years and thought I have had good care back in the Midwest when I had colon cancer and a resection. But out in AZ I have had several doctors. I called My former gastroenterologist and was told it was 6 months before I could get an appointment. I couldn’t wait that long. I feel very lucky to have found Dr Ram and his skills are excellent. He takes the time to listen to you and to me that is important.

He is wonderful
Doctor Rom, as he is known by the office, is a very skilled surgeon and so thankful to have had him the past 8 months. He saved my life. His whole staff is great to work with too. I got into a problem when I was out of the country, had several surgeries there and barely got back to the USA in a wheelchair and he now after 2 more surgeries here I am back together again and walking on my own. He is the best!!

Not helpful
My dr keeps faxing, emailing and calling the referral over for almost two weeks now and you all continue to tell me you have not received anything. Very rude.m staff when I call to check on the referral. Apparently they don’t want new patients.

The best surgeon I have ever had!he
This surgeon makes you feel at ease the minute you meet him. I fully trust him. He did my colon surgery and was an amazing doctor in the hospital as well as outpatient. He explains everything clearly and with compassion.

I would not recommend Dr. Ramanujam to anyone. During a noninvasive rubberbanding hemorrhoid procedure, performed by the doctor, I experienced pain so severe that I actually thought that I was being cut with the doctor's scalpel. The pain was so severe that I asked the doctor whether or not I was bleeding. On a scale of 1-10 the pain level was 12 or more. My initial discussion with the doctor indicated that the procedure should have involved very little pain with the possible use of a topical anesthesia, which was not used. I also researched this procedure and spoke with other medical professionals who indicated that the procedure should have resulted in very little pain. Overall, it saddens me to say, it was as though the pain was deliberately inflicted.

Dr. Ram is cool. I was referred to him by a gastro enterologist who said I needed a colonectomy. Dr. Ram said, don't worry, I'll get the rest of the polyps out, and he did. I have seen him twice since and he has not changed in his outlook and demeanor. I cannot sing his praises enough.

Dr. Ram is a gifted surgeon. He performed an APR surgery on me in 2015 for a very rare melanoma cancer. It is a huge surgery and I came through extremely well thanks to Dr. Ram's care. Just amazing! Highly recommend this doctor.

Knowing I have stage 4 colon cancer,my oncologist referred me for an updated colonoscopy to find if surgery was an option.I saw the Dr.at his office and waited 40 minutes till I saw him.At the hospital he was unable to complete the test due to narrowing of my colon. I have no issue with this.BUT,he did an unnecessary biopsy.I already knew I had a cancerous tumor and the Dr had my previous records to show this.My main complaint,The Dr. refused to speak to my husband afterward.Too busy!

My mother had a stoma reconstruction surgery. He sent her home same day only and then had to go back to the ER. MY mom had terrible paid and bag leakages several times a day as a result of his surgery. He did not care and spent no time with her. Had to go to Mayo 6 months later for the same surgery.

Unfortunately I was diagnosed with intestinal cancer. I was so scared. Dr. Ramanujan made the whole process a little less scary. He listened to what I had to say and about my pain management. Day of surgery he was confident and professional. Everything went very well. I was very pleased with the whole process. I highly recommend him and his associates to anyone.

NEVER RECOMMEND HIM TO SEE YOU OR YOUR LOVED ONES! He told my grandfather his muscles were compressing his colon and directed him to Pain Management . Later we found out that he had a severe impaction and Olgilvies syndrome, and was in acute renal failure. None of which this doctor caught. My grandfather would have died if we didn't step in. He was rushed to the ER once he went dusky and couldn't breathe well on his own. This doctor is neglectful and absolutely has no business practicing.
