Beware of Cancellations
I like Dr. Gannon. She makes me feel comfortable and seems to address my issues. The biggest problem with her is getting an appointment. When I first started, waiting 4 months a few years ago was not an issue. Recently, my yearly appt was cancelled on the day of my appt. When I called to reschedule, (expecting a wait of a few days or at most a few weeks, since it was her office that cancelled my appt) the staff gave me a date more than 7 months later, which means that I now need to wait more than 19 months for my annual appt. I tried different ways to get an earlier time; each time I was told that is the earliest, unless I wanted to see a nurse. I recall a friend who needed to see Dr Gannon in between a yearly exam for an urgent issue and had to wait 3 months to see her. I now realize that a long wait could happen to anyone.

Disregarding Serious Conditions and Cancellations
I really wanted to like Dr. Gannon because she came highly recommended from people I knew. I had two major conditions ignored by her. She never took my pain seriously. Ten years later, under another doctor’s care, I’m finally getting the relief through surgery that I needed back then. Also, when I found out I had a brain tumor, she said she wouldn’t recommend surgery because it was small and I am young. I switched primary care physicians after that and had the brain surgery. When they took it out we found the tumor was growing faster than anyone believed (20% growth cells) and I’m so happy I had the surgery while I’m young and can heal well. I am glad I didn’t take her advice. I needed my primary care physician to be my advocate. She wasn’t. Also, my appointments that I scheduled waaay in advance were ALWAYS rescheduled at the last moment, or else I had to see another doctor in her office. I did love the nursing staff.

have had her for number of years and been disappointed over and over from her nursing staff to her, last straw was last week when her staff called to set up a phone call with her about my recent overnight stay in hospital. i waited for 45 minutes for the call then call to see what was going on and they said they couldn't get ahold of her but would give the message to her and still no call back . i sent message to her through mychart and still no response. i will be looking for a new dr

My husband, daughter and I go to Dr. Gannon. On my part, she is easy to talk to - down to earth and a pleasure to go see. On my husband's part, he has had a lot of serious health related problems in the past 6 years and Dr. Gannon has been his point person. Always there, always searching for an answer or trying to keep on top of his pain. We will never find a doctor, who is as good as Dr. Gannon - and is why we stay in the area.
