Difficult to get Appointment, Lack of care
Dr. Hood was my PCP for over 5 years straight! Called three times to make an appointment. Even though they had openings the very next day, I was now considered a “new patient” and would have to wait two months to be seen. How the patient was feeling or what the patient needed simply didn’t matter to anyone there. They only cared how long it had been since I was there and only want patients they see often. Her staff has had a complete turnover.

I think she needs to retire..Went to her as she was (PCP) to find out why was having a cough that wouldn't go away. She seen a mass on xrays that she ordered told me she seen the mass and never once referred me to further investigate what the mass was even after several xrays but instead prescribed antibiotics for a cough that never went away. It took another physician to futher investigate what the mass was and that's when was told I had stage II lung cancer. Listen, I think it's sad that as a physician, you aren't proactive in helping your patients especially when it comes to matters such as adenocarcinoma of the lungs. And if you are not anymore, then you should retire.

Awful. She cares more about her own comfort than the care of her patients! She will abandon you when you need her the most!!!

I have been seeing Dr. Hood for a few years. I like that she is prompt and gets me out of the office in short order but still spends time talking to me about any issues I may have. I don't feel hurried and she isn't dismissive or patronizing. She has blood work done every six months so I feel that she is watching carefully for any future problems. One problem is she shares part of the building with urgent care. I'm not wild about sitting in a waiting room with coughing and sneezing people.

Dr. Hood takes the time to ask questions about what is important to me as a person and a patient. She is easy to speak with and listens - and CARES!
