Ruined my life
Had discectomy surgery 30 years ago by Dr Connolly. Ever since then I have progressively declined . There is constant nerve compression that never went away. Now yrs later I continue to have horrible neuropathy and pain. Ruined my life. Went from a healthy athletic woman to a fragile one. I have been petrified to address these issues with another surgeon out of fear. Worse mistake of my life having surgery by him

IME Appointment in Albany NY
I have several joint injuries including bilateral knee replacement, total left hip replaced, lumbar laminectomy and spinal fusion, and right shoulder total replacement along with several other surgeries, permanent nerve damage, neuropathy, due to on the job injury. This guy was rude, and demanded me to get onto the table kicking the stool in my direction. Physically I cannot get onto the table and am quite disabled physically, he basically got irritated and threatened me with the statement..."this won't go well for you"...then cancelled my appointment. I immediately informed my attorney and also wrote the NYS Workers Comp to voice my concern about this idiot. Ever since this issue I videotape every appointment as all IME's will lie and try to create something for the insurance company.

I had surgery 11 years ago. Best thing I ever did. Dr. Connolly was was willing to help me and induced me in all the decisions. He took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns and made sure I knew all the risks and benefits. Great follow up. So thankful!

I do not know what the people on here from NY are saying. I have had many visits with Dr. Connolly and has always done his job. He works within his realm of medicine and doesnt try to diagnose something he knows nothing about.

I had an ime this past friday in new Hartford NY..i thought the Dr was a nice guy and hopefully I could learn his thoughts of my progress or what treatment path he thought was correct for me. He asked me 4 questions, checked my reflexes, had me lay on the table and bent each knee left to right and said your all set. I have a back injury! Never checked ANYTHING to do with my back or mobility. I just don't understand anything that happened because NOTHING happened...

I would not trust anyone else , Dr Connolly knows what he is talking about , I had a spinal fusion 12 years ago, no issues until I got in a car accident. He is amazing and does not do surgery unless needed. I am happy with the treatment and results. Will never go anywhere else and yes there is a wait in the office but he is worth waiting for

I thought it was odd that my IME was from a out of state Dr. after less than 10 min evaluation and scripted question from his ipad i knew this Dr was not being ethical or reading my treating physicians notes. Dr connolly never even put me in a gown or visually looked over my injuries. Sickening that Drs like this can practice was unethical behavior towards working people who have had injuries that were out of their control. Bring your attorney or video camera if you're seeing this Dr.

Dr. Connolly was the only surgeon who was willing to help me after all other treatments and options failed. He is someone I will never forget! He took the time to answer all of my questions and concerns and made sure I knew all the risks and benefits. Granted, he's a busy guy and getting an appointment can be a pain sometimes. Isn't that a good thing though? Everyone wants to see him, that in itself says a lot! But if you need to see him right away, he will fit you in. GO SEE HIM!!

In 2007 I contracted a Mercer infection. After several antibiotics fail to do the job Dr. Connolly was called in. The infection settled in my spine. long story short. He saved my life by going in and cleaning out the infection. I needed 3 surgeries a year apart collateral damage. He is the only doctor I would go to again. The other reviews I would disagree. With me he took all the time I needed, answered every question I had. He has a great sense of humor, and it's almost fun to see him.

I too had the EXACT same experience as Michelle had.....word for word!! Waited 1.5 hours to see him. I tried to ask questions also and felt like I was bothering him. I did go for the shots and they didn't work, had a follow-up with him and he just gave me medication. I asked him if there was anything I could do (exercises etc) or things I shouldn't do and he just chuckled and said do what you want to do. Needless to say, I have not been back and am seeking other professionals.

My experience was very poor. It was the first time meeting with this doctor, who I felt was very dismissive. He explained nothing, would not look at me, told the next step was a shot and that was it no other information and then was sending me to someone else for the shot. I asked if i could ask some questions and he said sure as he was dicating my appointment in front of me. I felt I was just another number, he did not care and left there very upset, would not recommend him to anyone.

Waited two hours to see him! When he came in doesn't communicate well and doesn't look at you! Talks in his dictation device ,and doesn't explain things very good! Left crying when he said I wasn't a candidate for surgery with no reason why! Have two bulging discs and in constant pain!
