Good advice and treatment plan
I came to Dr. Fisher from a referral from my friend who had prostate cancer and had a good experience. He helped me work through some complex issues with my health. He's cool headed and has a quick grasp of the medical issues and is very smart and has good judgment according to numerous other doctors in Sutter. (I can't personally evaluate his medical skills but I do acknowledge his training at UCSF and UC Davis is top tier.) He was able to spot an issue with my bloodwork and actually helped me stop taking a medication from another doctor that was complicating the issue and then treated me.

My husband had an appointment with Dr. Fisher today, i went into the room with him, because my husbands hearing is not very good, Dr. Fisher was very good about directing the questions to me, and explained everything about the visit, took his time with Bob, and went over his meds with him, i would highly recomend Dr. Fisher.

Unnecessary steps
Dr. Fisher took unnecessary steps for procedure that was done. Wasn’t mention during the pre-op. Looking out for himself and not his patients. Will never use him again.

ER Follow up
Upon release of an out of area emergency room visit for significant groin pain, the ER Dr noted my bloodwork as well as two areas identified in a CT scan as needing urgent follow up with a Urologist. I made an appointment with Dr Fisher whom I have been a patent for a few years. The first appt I was 9 minutes late when I reached the receptionist... unexpected traffic and 5 minutes standing in line. The receptionist quickly declared I was late, called to the back, then maintained I would need to reschedule. Next visit I was able to step through the issues I was having, the ER blood work and handed him the ER release paperwork. Dr fisher seemed ambivalent, not sure why it would concern him. I said because the two of the four findings on the back say to contact a urologist. He took and read the paperwork again, sat up, made notes in my chart, declared i needed a procedure, said his nurse would be in and left. This whole office has issues. No real exam, diagnosed by looking at me, guess he's physic, indifferent; I will never go back to him. I think he is simply in it for the money. His nurse, one of the most rude and hate full people I have met in a long time. These people should just not be in the medical profession.

Dr. Fisher has a very good bedside manner - his ability to communicate is good, his knowledge is good, and he shows compassion...all contributing to making an excellent physician. Dr. Fisher exhibits great restraint and professionalism when repeatedly called in by other services for unnecessary consults. Once out of the constraints of an academic environment and its associated strong hierarchy, Dr. Fisher will be free to speak more candidly and will be even better! Highly recommend.
