Dr. Patrick Golden, MD

Has been my Doctor for 17 years. I ask many questions and he answers all of them. I trust him.

The staff is incompetent and if there is a way to screw up they will find it. They misspelled my name which caused labs to be lost. Meds were not refilled. Calls were not returned or transferred to a person who would hang up right after the hello, or eternal hold in which I had to rehash it all again. This went on for weeks. They miscoded my visit as a specialist when I saw a NP as to just order labs. They won't fix it and continue to bill me and now threaten to collections. I fired them and saw a new doctor who accessed my labs and ordered a refill while I sat. God how I wish I saved myself time, energy and money by never having called Dr. Golden's office.

Have been going to Dr. Golden for a while. He is very patient, knowledge, compassionate and ALWAYS listens. Highly recommend him.

I've been to many M.D.'s in Fresno with terrible spinal and shoulder damage from horses falling on me, kicking knee-caps, and injuries so extreme that even spinal/back pain surgeons ( tops in the Valley; names on request) would not attempt remediation surgery. I found Dr. Patrick Golden several months ago via a professional recommendation. I love this guy. He listened to my history, my problem, and with awesome kindness helped me to no longer be writhing on the floor with a level # 10 pain for hours on end. I'm 81, still ride young horses, and am so happy to have him in my medical corner. His entire staff is the same; I love to visit the office if for no other reason than to know they care and are there for me.

I also did not see Dr. Golden but a nurse in the office named Carmen. I was in the office 2.5 hours waiting. Carmen debated a medical test I provided and another doctors ordering of the test, debated my lack of knowledge about health history of my grandparents, walked out of the room while I was asking a question without answering. Her behavior is enough to give one a heart attack! Strange behavior in a medical office.

Dr. Golden has always been very kind, patient and thorough, never leaving us feel like he’s in a hurry or has other (more important) people to see. He has a gentle manner and seems genuinely interested in his patients. His staff is also wonderful and he provides a liaison who is available by phone at all times for general questions or concerns, so you don’t have to wait for call-backs from the doctor. He has also been a wonderfully kind and sensitive physician to my 95-year old mom who had to relocate here when she lost her home in the Paradise Fire, The only negative is sometimes it is hard to get through to the office, but they are always good about returning calls.

Dr Golden, (or as we refer to him Saint Patric) is an extremely knowledgeable, caring & thorough Doctor. We trust him with our health ??%

Listens patiently. Acts appropriately

he nurse practitioner, Carmen, has an issue with patients who come in with knowledge. Apparently her ego is too large to accept that the patient may possibly know something or have something to share about their own health/family history. Consequently, she was inept at listening. She was rude and condescending. Additionally, she was unapologetic about the hour and a half wait to see her.. not even an acknowledgement of it! She just came in the room without batting an eye. I was astounded by her lack of care and professionalism. She behaved like a snippy woman with pretentious overtones. I will, however, return and see Dr. Golden since he has great reviews. I’m not counting this office out because of one employee. It’s his practice and she’s a replaceable nurse who may or may not work there in the future/in the long run.

Have not seen Dr. Golden for a medical condition but I did matriculate and graduate with him form medical school at the University of Colorado. My wife and I were out to Fresno in 2015; to pick up a Sportsmobile - but did not have the chance to stop by (then a Wyoming Physician on call 24x7). To date this is a funny way to say hello to Patrick - but to all others I must add that I would have no reservations whatsoever seeking his care. The best of the year - to all !.

Dr. Golden is awesome. My 87 year-old mom’s health has improved immeasurably under his care. If there were more rating stars available under the “listening and explaining” section, I’d rate him much higher. As it stands, he’s an 8 out of 5.

I have been going to this Doctor's practice for a few years now. Although I don't see Dr. Golden but his nurse practitioner, Carmen Sanchez, whom is competent and prompt (I like her) the office receptionist and nurse are grossly inefficient and bordering on bumbling. When my NP was out on vacation, I called five times over four days trying to refill my prescription. That was 2 wks ago. Called twice today. Still no action. Bottom line, they couldn't care less about their patients.

Just started taking my elderly relative there. Was told the first visit would be with the nurse for screening. Ok. Second visit SURPRISE! Saw the nurse again. Fortunately the nurse seems to be quite competent.

Dr. Golden is thorough, professional, great bedside manner. Dr. Golden believes that certain vitamins and supplements can be beneficial to help maintain a healthy immune system and healthy lifestyle. One of my employees hadn't been feeling well for a couple weeks. He was encouraged to see Dr. Golden to get a second opinion about his condition. Upon arriving at Dr. Golden's office and having a brief examination he was taken straight to St. Agnes hospital where he was admitted for surgery stat.
