Finally! A Surgeon who cares …
I did NOT feel like a faceless number to Dr. Joyner. Throughout my athletic career I have seen a number of sports physicians for the knee pain I am currently experiencing. Although it did take almost 5 months to get a ‘new patient’ appointment with Dr. Joyner, I was able to get appointments & treatments from his PA until my Dr. appointment. That treatment plan was helpful in that it enabled us to make an informed decision as to a more aggressive treatment once I had the appointment with Dr. Joyner. He listened, without judgement, to my sports activities goals & he laid out treatment options based on those goals. I am an older athlete but at no time did I feel talked down to or dismissed … as has happened with other physicians. He also was completely honest in the outcome expectation presented… no miracles but possible improvement if I continue to do all the other ‘little things’ for rehab purposes. Thank you.

Problematic Hip
After being told by a physical therapist that pain in my groin was likely indicative of needing a hip replacement, Dr Joyner listened very carefully to my description of where the pain was, and what brought it on. He did a number of maneuvers, moving my hip and checking out my hip flexors. Sure enough, he determined my hip wasn’t the issue; rather, it was my right hip flexor! He gave the muscle an injection, and several days later I’m pain free! Thank you Dr Joyner!

Wonderful !
Dr. Joyner cares about his patients. He takes the time to listen….explain options and follows the course of treatment agreed upon. He never “pushes” surgery but will do his best to keep you as mobile and pain free as possible. I would recommend him without reservation.

Outstanding! I have a bone on bone situation in my right knee which can be quite painful. Dr. Joyner has been treating me with cortisone shots every 4 months because he believes I still have good range of motion in that knee. I completely agree with him! Every time he treats me I feel like running around the block. I feel that good. He listens. He knows his patients. I wish I could have him for all my medical issues!
