Cancelling on patients is not fair
I am leaving this very low rating for Dr O’Connell because I have had two scheduled follow up appointments with him. He has canceled last minute on both of the appointments. His office texts, emails and calls to confirm so not sure how this can continue to happen? It is unacceptable and totally unprofessional. I don’t care how good a doctor is if they cannot make it to work for patients who wait months for appointments for them then they do not care about their work or their reputation. Thank you for wasting my time.

Dr. O'Connell is surprisingly thorough. I haven't been to a doctor like that in 30 years. He doesn't hurry you. He listens to your concerns. Answers your questions. Goes over your chart with you. He explains each step and procedure. II really appreciate that and like it a lot. Makes you feel like you're the only only patient he's taken care of. What am I looking for you like you're the only? No matter how busy that man is You wouldn't know it. Treats you like you're the only person on his caseload. He follows through with referrals and prescriptions and checking in on you. Excellent care.

Tricks up his sleeve
Terrible. First it was weeks to get into see him. The initial visit was bland telling me I may have adult asthma after explaining my family history of allergies. I have difficulty breathing and mucus for most of the winter until Spring. Had a test run in office to add to charges, and the results were vague. Told me to come back in for follow up in which the office made an appointment for valentines day, 6 weeks latter. The day before the appointment the office called to cancel saying it was the doctors birthday on the 14th. He plays games.

We saw Doctor O Connell for the first time today! My teen children loved him! He very soft spoken and kind! He asked if they had any questions and took his time with him! It was a real good visit and he listened and responds to thier questions very well!!
