Dr. Patrick Turner, MD

One of the worst experiences I've had with a doctor, and dang, I wish I had seen Wesley's review beforehand because it is eerily similar to mine...Patrick Turner billed me for some unknown reason for something 'outside of a standard annual checkup' and refused to give me a blood test until a followup visit. After disputing this for over a year, I've now learned (after talking at length to my insurance company and VCU billing) that he continually did not allow for the insurance codes to be updated to reflect what I believe were the accurate ones. So what would have normally been a routine, covered-by-insurance examination will end up costing me close to a thousand dollars. Certainly a difficult lesson to learn, so avoid it if you can; unless you have at least a grand in the bank to blow on an annual checkup, stay away from this doctor.

I went to Dr. Turner in June for a normal physical and his office charged me as a follow-up to a hospital visit that I already had a follow-up for just to get more money. I made my physical appointment 2 months before being randomly hospitalized in May. I would not recommend.

Patient, excellent listener, takes action I've now observed 2 visits w/ Dr. Turner, who is now with VCU Health on Mayland Drive. - Thorough - Customizes his interactions well - Takes actions on the areas that need support, including medication, resources, and referrals to specialist within VCU Health.

Dr Turner is the best doctor Ive ever had. He is thorough, patient, caring, and met all my needs. I would recommend anyone that experiences anxieties or stress with healthcare and appointments, as I do, choose Dr Turner. I wish I could give him a higher rating!

Dr Turner has been my doctor for several years now. He takes a sincere interest in me as a patient. He is always prepared for my visit ensuring all blood work is done prior to annual check-ups. He is highly recommended by our family.

Dr. Turner has been my doctor for almost 6 years. Remembers my health and orthopedic history, listens to my concerns. I never feel rushed and he fully explains what is going on. He even asks about my 4 children. Best doctor I've had in my 65 years. He has my highest recommendation!!

Dr. Turner is a thorough and compassionate doctor. We are very pleased with the care and time he has spent helping my Mom get back on track since moving her up north after losing her spouse.
